Spread peace my rangoli creation.
Hello, community friends and all well-wishers. Thank you for the last contest.]We began world peace with the New Year 2024 and wish the world would be more peaceful than ever. Here is my rangoli creation as a first entry to express love and peace.
Rangoli is an art form that originates from the Indian subcontinent, in which patterns are created on the floor using stone powder or rice flour.
We used to do this way to make some symbols at the entrance of the house using materials such as powdered limestone, dry rice flour, colored sand, quartz powder, flower petals, and colored rocks. It is an everyday practice in many Hindu households, however, advanced designs are mostly reserved for festivals and other important celebrations.
Today I can show something new to the Western world. which I was missing there. I am not an artist but trying my best to draw this world peace-related drawing using colored stone powder.
I started it on a green marble top and used rangoli green, blue, white, and pink. Doing this art you need practice and I am missing that since I live in Norway.
Here is how it is done.
Making a round I started with one spoon of powder which slowly i spread to make an appropriate circle using my finger.
Once it was done I moved further.
Filling the circle with blue and white-colored rangoli to make a water effect.
Once it finished
First, draw the maps in blue color.
like this.
I use two shades of green color to make the land mass
Started filling green color rangoli.
After it finished it looked like this. Black color rangoli is very seldom used I don't have it so I used light pink around the circle as a liner.
Used a matchstick to straighten the lines.
Filled empty glue tube with rangoli to use like a pen.
Draw the Dove.
Finalizing the dove size.
After finished Dove, I noticed one was small and one little big I thought in my mind the small countries and the big countries on earth they would get together with love and spread peace around the world. and make the world lovely and peaceful.
Amazing work ✨
