The Christmas village Budget friendly under 2$
Dear friends and community,
This is my entry for this year's Christmas decoration contest. I had planned to create it earlier, but I was too busy and occupied with many other things. However, I finally finished it! I wasn’t sure I would be able to complete it in time, but I did.
The Christmas village and Santa's visit.
**Material **
cardboards or package boxes free of cost
glue used 20 Rs.
Scissors
cutter 5 Rs
color blue red and white used 20 Rs.
small pieces of shiny paper green and silver color 10 Rs
Cotton 5 Rs.
Some decorative ornament from old collections 10 Rs.
Thermocol old piece
measuring stick
pencil
3 ice cream sticks
artist's paintbrush
small piece of gift paper.
Black wool 10 Rs
masking tape
few coconut straws
Using a plate I drew a circle on the cardboard.
Then cut the shape. That is shown in the material photo.
Made a 5 cm wide strip to use as a frame
glued the strips around the edge of the circle.
kept it for drying.
Cut one more 5 cm strips from cardboard.
Used that strip as a platform keeping a 5 cm distance from the bottom.
Once the platform was fixed I started placing the things on it first I designed the main house, for it I used an empty electric bulb box.
It was too thin so I used a piece of cardboard instead and saved the bulb box another use.
Planning the window for the main house.
The church
Trees cut those shapes later.
cut small pieces for doors and windows for the other houses.
Drew Santa with his sleigh.
Cut the shape of Santa and his raindeer.
After preparing all the shapes and figures this is what I had.
first, I painted the half circle before organizing all the decorations.
After fixing the doors on the house I painted them.
Door
window
The strip of cardboard that is used for the main house is painted brown color, mixing black and red together.
I colored the background with blue and white. and
Cut one white circle from tissue paper to be the moon. Glued some stars around the moon. glued tissue paper around the frame
I made the houses and glued them onto the coconut straws
the main house is placed on the left side but before I fixed the house I glued Santa and his reindeer on the moon.
And other small houses and trees on the right side.
Glued and spread some cotton around.
Made one more ring to close the edges.
After assembled it looks like this.
I cut one small half circle to close the bottom part.
Used black wool to cover the ring.
used blanket knot
Meanwhile glued the bottom so it can be dried out when The ring is finished.
The ring is almost finished.
I was looking for a paper towel to make a curtain but I couldn't. And while making food I found it so making curtain on the window.
Fixed curtain.
The ring is glued on the circle box/frame.
A small piece of thermocol mashed for a snow effect.
Sprinkled on the houses.
Painted the bottom using white color.
many things are fixed but needed some decoration.
Put some stars angels, and hearts on the frame and Bell also. but it was removed later because it was covering Santa's face.
glued one flower with golden leaves at the bottom and a few paper
Trees.

The christmas village looks a perfect replica of an ideal village during christmas. A quite cost effective way to decorate and celebrate the feast. Good work.
