Registration to the First HIVE Marathon will last until 12:00 p.m. on September 5, 2024, Central European Time.

To register participants, anyone who wants to participate in the marathon sends 0.001 HIVE to @hive.marathon with the memo "I participate in the HIVE Marathon" from the participant's account.

Register in time and get a chance to win a prize pool of HBD.

You can spend the winning HBD at any #distriator partner.

I wasn't kidding. I will split this 1 MVest and if there are more than 10 participants, I will increase the amount to 2 MVest. I will pay this amount out of my own pocket.
I am absolutely against payment from the Hive ecosystem. I don't care if a "callme..." or any other Hive whale votes, because they benefit 50% from their vote.

I'm sure that, just like any random event on Hive, this prize will be mediocre for the cost of doing a power UP.

I'll be back, but I'm guessing from 100 HBD down.

I suggest you allow late joiners in as well. For those the 90d will end later then. To go for all this with 20 or so participants will have no effect. Just to give you an idea: It requires 200 participants to just compensate for the current powerdowns of the top 20 witnesses alone!

This is only the first HIVE Marathon.
We want to see if this will be of interest to the HIVE community at all.
People also have to believe that the prize HBD is real.
We will have more confidence for the next marathon, where we can attract more people and possibly automate the HIVE Marathon a bit.
