Educational Pursuit, What Else From Here

Every given day offers an opportunity for us to learn one thing or the other, it is solely our decision to learn or to remain in the level of knowledge we are. I always say this, a man starts to die the moment he feels he has known it all. The process of live requires we top to what we know using every given opportunity. I love to learn and I don't set a boundary who to learn from or the system to learn from but the good thing I have done to myself is learning to learn from other people's experience. This decision has saved me from lots of damage and had I knows.

Education can either be in a formal way or the informal. The informal is what is done both at home and societal levels and the formal education have to do with going off to an organized setting. I want to believe that what is talked about here is the formal education.

Currently, I hold a Bachelor's in Science. After I got married I also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Education which now qualifies me as an educationist. Let me give you a brief story. After I wrote Jamb in 2011, then we have the opportunity to choose first and second choice of College of Education, Polytechnic and a university that one want to attain. So I got admission into the college of education, I was already attending lectures and was about paying for accommodation before I saw my name in the university admission list, I decided to go to the university. Since then I promised myself to obtain a certificate that will qualify me as a teacher. So my Post Graduate Diploma in Education is promise fulfilled and Passion come through.

As I said earlier, a man that is alive will not stop learning. In my record, I have it to further with my Educational pursuit of not now soon because there is a state I see myself and I have not attained it yet. Though I am in between option to be honest with you. During my undergraduate studies, I was trained as a Public Administrator. During my project I chose a topic in the human Resource Field. It was one of the best things that happened to me at that time because my project was one of the best as my supervisor always say. I wish to further with it but the system in my country is bringing that passion down.
During my days in the Post Graduate school, I enjoyed two courses so much that I was just thinking of seeing more of them. Educational management and Guidance and Counselling, here I wanted to do a project here but my supervisor had his way, I don't want to talk about it because it was direct opposite of what I did during my undergraduate studies. Human Resources Management is calling my attention, Guidance & Counselling and Educational Management is just pulling me on my legs. I am in a deep confusion, over time I have meditated over this and don't just know what to do. I have gone further to pray about it as I seek for more counsel from knowledgeable persons.

Someone may ask, why the confusion? This is a life time decision which one don't need to undertake in a hurry because it involves a lot of things.

Overtime, I have seen myself working among young people, most of them need help and I can't give them the help they need just like that. So I need to understand why they act the way they do and all that. As even write, I see that guidance and counseling may be better for me seeing the level of decadence that is prevailent in our society today. Not following my passion means a lot to me. There is this sense of accomplishment that comes when a man is fulfilled in his purpose. This fulfilment is what I need now and when I get it, surely, I will know. Until them, I am still going and finding a way of expression.

In this short time I have to write, I have said so much. In a way of conclusion, everyones happiness is lied in doing what makes him happy. In happiness comes through fulfilment. Find that one thing that makes you happy and stay there.
