No One Tree Can Make A Forest. Others Can Be Right Too

It took me some moment to meditate over what to write on this particular topic because of this parents are always right thing. My people will even go further with the proverb, 'what an elder sits down to see that a young man will not see same even when he climbs a mountain'. So this makes things so complicated a times because most elders feels that they have the final say. My uncle will always say, I am the man and the head of this house so no one can go against my others.

Just this time when we got home, he did something and I had to speak up. When my sister Prepared porridge beans and served, he ate a little and requested for salt, so I asked him why he need the saltt. He said the salt in the food was not enough, he added that he is the perfect taster because he can easily notice when salt is not enough and when it is in excess. So I told him no that's wrong.

He was about staging agruement I added that for his health it is so wrong for him to eat salt in excess and as it is now we are the ones that will tell them what is good for them because they sent us to school and we have an improved knowledge, my mother that's his sister was there too I know she will remember how we won her on case because she was acting that way before.

When he heard that, he said okay, he will change. There are times parents are stocked with what to do but most of them will refuse to admit the fact because the pride of man, why will a child I gave birth to tell me what to do.

What I just share is one instance of the time my parents were wrong.

She Was Just Right But Was Misunderstood

Now a brother of mine was preparing to get himself a wife, everyone was so happy because we saw that it was long over due. While the familiarization process was still on and prayers. My mother observed something with the lady in question. You know that women have this special way of knowing things.

She observed that the lady is not a homely person, infact she don't just need a mother-in-law...you may ask how she got to know, action they say speaks loaded than voice.

Now anytime she want to relate with her, she keeps forming busy even to we the sibling's. My mother told his son but it seems his mind was made up and we hard no choice than to support him as we kept praying that God's will prevails above the human feelings. Friends, the more we pushed to see this lady the more difficult she proved to be.

My mother informed his son that if he didn't go for medical test with the lady, he should count her out because she wouldn't attend the wedding. The next event will shock you.

As they went for the four different confirmatory test we met the unbearable. Everything was perfect except that she is pregnant for another man. Ooh, it is a heart break for all especially my mother because she saw this coming but she was misunderstood

For us to have an effective communication with our parents we all need to have this mind of examining each person's views. Having a right sense of judgement too will help us to accept what another have to say. We should also know that we are not always right in everything we do this will help us make allowance for other people's view. Well, for my brother he learnt in a very difficult way because he refused to see things from other perspective. Life goes on.
