Reflections On A Weekend of Relaxation and School Events With My Beer

Good day, community, it's the weekend again and it's time to relax after the hard week of work. So today being the weekend and in the spirit of the hive zealy campaign I decided to go get myself a beer. I am not much of a beer taker so I drink occasionally with my friends if we decide to hang out at a bar or just gather at a specific spot in our community, but this time my close friends are not in the same city with me so I decided to get a beer and sit by myself in the school garden.

It has been a quiet day for me as not many activities are on my plate today. I had an eventful day yesterday in school as all the new students were given a proper welcome into the school by the Vice Chancellor, but I was not able to see her because only a few were selected from all the Faculty in the University. The Vice-Chancellor gave a speech with other top members of the university board according to what I heard from the representative of my Faculty.

The school environment was filled with students and parents to mark the event. I had no representative from my family present at the event to celebrate with me. It is a six hour's journey from my house in Lagos to my school in Benin City and the cost of transportation is on the high side because of the high cost of petrol in the country so it would have cost roughly 20,000 naira for transportation and there will be other expenses that would have come up, so it was for the best.

I still got to enjoy myself with my course mate and there was a lot to eat and drink. My phone was in high demand because of the camera quality, so most of my coursemates wanted me to take their pictures and I also happened to be a good picture taker. I took a lot of pictures of my coursemate which came out perfectly and also snapped some pictures because I am the course rep so everyone wanted to take a pic with me.

Snipping my bear and reflecting on yesterday's event brought a smile to my face and all I can think of now is the journey I have started and will see to the very end no matter the challenges that come ahead I am ready to face and overcome them.
