In 5 years time…(LOH #153)

1️⃣ Do you still see yourself here on Hive 5 years from now? How would your Hive portfolio (HP, HBD Savings, HE token holdings) look like by then?

I really don’t know what the future holds for me but I know for a fact that I would still be alive and would be active on Hive, showing up consistently and making an impact on the blockchain.

Hive has taught me what empathy and support truly means, it’s not by saying “sorry” or “I’ve got your back” to people but it’s making those powerful moves, proving that you actually “got” them, the actions matter more than anything. I have gotten so much support from Hiveans I do not know from Adam and if we are being honest that’s what sets Hive apart from other conventional social media platforms.

First of all, I would be a big curator by then, it mustn’t necessarily be a community curator or any of those curating jobs that are out there. I would be a big curator on my own. Some time ago, I wanted to convert all the HBD I had in savings to buy Hive and power up, not necessarily for only myself but for other people.

I see so many great and original contents with little or no support and it breaks my heart when I see people pour their hearts out on their posts and get little or nothing in return, but then again it hits me that not everyone can be helped or supported, the number of curators or initiatives cannot cover the total number of newbies and struggling minnows we have on the blockchain.

Recently I got a huge chunk of delegation from a total stranger for just commenting on his post. 5 years from now I want my Hive power to grow to a point where I can do such things without even feeling it, by then I would be able to delegate huge chunks of my HP to people and let them use it to grow their accounts like I am doing now and I would not be shaken, that’s the point I want to get to in 5 years.

Getting the delegation was a dream come through because I have been using it to help so many Hiveans, back then when I voted on people’s posts there was no difference but right now I vote and people get at least 0.03 or 0.02 and it gladdens my heart, 5 years from now I would love to vote on people’s posts and they get huge rewards, I know how I smile when I get such rewards from big accounts so it would be a delight to make others smile too😃

In 5 years' time I would love to have so much HBD in savings, to the point where when I withdraw, it would feel like I won the lottery😂😂 I see what most of our veterans have in their savings and I always gasp, it would be nice to have such too, you know? 🥰

For the Hive engine I’m still trying to get a hang of it, I think I need someone to explain it better to me but in 5 years, I must have acquired as many tokens that I can lay my hands on.

Additionally, I would want to be actively involved in communities, like actually doing things for communities. I see what some of my mentors do for communities and I am always amazed, it wouldn’t be bad to be part of making a difference in a community you know? 😃
