Shining Stars: Recognizing Teachers at Educators' Night
Kamusta mga higala? Back at it again with another blog.🤗🥰
Join me as I accompany my Auntie to the Educators' Night in the Municipality of Tabogon. Let's come together to witness how they enjoy and celebrate their night.
Teachers are one of those people in the world who are hardworking and devoted to their work. They work even on weekends and sometimes bring their work on vacation. Like everybody, they deserve to be recognized for their efforts. They stand as a second mother and love and care for their students as their own children.
No wonder that some of the children want to become a Teacher when they grow up. This profession is a dream for many kids. Teachers are good role models that everyone inspires to do good in their lives.
We celebrate Teacher's Day every year and recognize all teachers in the world for their dedication and efforts. In our municipality, we host a special night for all the teachers from different schools during our fiestas. This is also our way of highlighting the importance of the teachers in the society.
Since May is our municipality's annual fiesta, various events are conducted, including, of course, Teacher's Night for all the teachers in our municipality. It was held on Thursday night, May 16, 2024 in our Tabogon Gymnasium. Teachers from various schools in Tabogon are ready and eager to participate in the event.
A week before the event, my aunt, who is one of the teachers in the school of our Barangay, searched for an outfit to wear. The theme chosen for this year is Gatsby. I'm aware that the teachers will put effort into selecting their outfits and choosing what suits them best.
My aunt asked me to help her decide what to wear and also requested that I do her hair and makeup. Since fashion and makeup are my passions, I gladly agreed to help her.
We started getting ready an hour and a half before the event began. I did her hair first, deciding to flat iron it since it's quite short. I added some hair extensions to give her a classier look that suited her outfit for the night.
After finishing her hair, I immediately started on her makeup. She requested a simple look, so I gave her a light and clean makeup style. I'm not a professional makeup artist; I just watch tutorials and practice on myself. I'm an aspiring makeup artist, and most of my clients are my sisters and relatives. Hahaha!
We were done with her hair and makeup, we were running out of time, so I helped her put on her gown and heels. I didn't take any pictures of my work because we were busy preparing. After everything was done, I gave her a quick touch-up before she left.
My aunt went to the venue first, and my boyfriend and I followed later. I took this opportunity to witness this yearly event in our town. When we arrived, the event had already begun, so we went straight inside and searched for a space in the audience area.
We found a perfect corner to sit in, and I began searching for my aunt at the event. We found her at a table where all her fellow teachers from Caduawan Elementary School were also seated.
I was amazed to see the teachers in their beautiful tuxedos and gowns. They were shining. They were as beautiful to look at as stars in the sky. They looked great and seemed happy. It is my pleasure to witness events like this.
As the event began, the host invited the teachers from each school to walk the red carpet and go up on stage to perform a dance number. The teachers were very energetic as they came on stage, proudly representing their schools and showcasing their dance moves. The audience showed their support for the teachers, cheering them on. Even the guests were asked to come on stage and perform a dance number. Our enthusiastic Municipal Mayor was eager to join in the dancing, making the event even more enjoyable for the teachers.
Unfortunately, I missed watching my aunt's presentation because they were the first teachers representing their schools. Following the teachers' dance presentation, the speakers began their speeches, and the Mayor delivered his message of appreciation to the teachers, even complimenting their appearance that night.
They also presented awards to teachers who are 10, 20, and 30 years in the service. One who received an award was my other aunt in the family. She has been in service for 30 years, and I commend her for her dedication.
Feeling hungry, we opted to step out and search for food. Fortunately, there were food stalls selling outside the complex. We bought a shake and popcorn. The foods are very affordable and budget-friendly.
As we went back inside, the teachers began taking pictures in the photo booth. Naturally, I accompanied my youngest sister. While the teachers were occupied capturing their stunning looks, my sister didn't miss the chance to shine as well and requested me to take her photo.
We didn't stay until the final show of the event because it was already late at night, and we had a 30-minute trip going home. On our way home from the event, we made a stop at Angels Burger on the main highway for a midnight snack before going back home.
To sum up my experience, it was a privilege to attend such an event and meet the individuals who serve as heroes and role models in our community. Witnessing their dedication and effort in their chosen profession is truly inspiring and invaluable to our country.
