EMOTIONAL WOUNDS AND HOW TO TREAT THEM / CONTEST 235
This article is based on my life experience after my parents divorced. But, before that I want to share a quote from a figure I admire, his name is Maulana Rumi. He said, "Wounds are the door through which God's light enters your heart"
Honestly, the quote above has a big influence on my life.
I believe, as humans, we have all experienced heartbreak because of the reality of life. Whether it's heartbreak because of a breakup, or because of being cheated on, or because of being betrayed by a friend or because of losing someone we love.
There are wounds that are intangible and bloodless but are so torturous that sometimes they make us lazy to eat, making us only live in the bedroom with pillows, bolsters and cellphones as friends.
If any of my friends here have ever felt and experienced it, don't worry, you are not alone, I also experienced the same thing and I felt it after my mother and father divorced three years ago.
Honestly, I was almost stressed and embarrassed to go to school. But, thanks to God and my mother's guidance, I was able to get through all the phases that really hurt my heart.
I currently live with my mother who is a teacher and is active in business.
We are back. So how did I get through all that? Going through the gossip of neighbors after my parents divorced, going through the ridicule of friends at school because my father remarried.
Here I want to share the answer to the question above about how I went through and healed the wounds in my heart. Hopefully it is useful.
1. Learn to Be Indifferent
First, you have to get used to being indifferent. Why? ... Because according to what I have read and what I have seen, the path of human life is a mystery, hard to predict. There are those who seem happy but end up sad, there are also those who start their lives full of sadness and end up happy.
Because for me, humans do good and are blamed, especially if they do wrong. So my advice, as long as we have good intentions, with good paths and goals, straight and focused. There is a saying, "When you plant rice, weeds will grow"
2. Learn to Accept Destiny
Second, let's learn to accept or if possible love destiny. No matter how hard it is. This comes from my belief that it is true, God's destiny is ultimately beautiful and makes me realize that there is a power beyond our will. No matter how hard we try.
3. Think Positively
Lastly, I invite all my friends to interpret wounds into positive things by thinking positively. For example, my mother said, "Not all who get divorced fail in building a household. Not all who break up fail in having a romance. It could be God's way of saving us from bad partners."
For more details, let's share stories and methods in the comments column.
Thank you. May God bless women all over the world.
