Saludos querida comunidad, el día de hoy les comparto mi participación en el Splinterlands Art Contest Week 287 con un colgante de pared hecho en macramé con el personaje Aquatus, este me llamó la atención por su pose en la carta, mostrando de manera orgullosa su imponente musculatura con esa sonrisa de autoconfianza en su rostro, me recuerda a la arquetipo de personalidad que es fuerte y no es nada modesto al respecto 😄, este guerrero pertenece a una astilla humanos que habitan en un reino inundado y por eso desarrollaron branquias que les permiten estar en el agua. Greetings dear community, today I share with you my participation in the Splinterlands Art Contest Week 287 with a wall hanging made of macramé with the character Aquatus, this one caught my attention because of his pose on the card, proudly showing his imposing musculature with that smile of self-confidence on his face, reminds me of the personality archetype that is strong and is not at all modest about it 😄, this warrior belongs to a group of humans who live in a flooded kingdom and that is why they developed gills that allow them to be in the water. Proceso/ Process

Para comenzar hice un recorte rectangular de orientación vertical en la imagen abarcando la mitad del rostro del personaje, a partir de allí hice mi patrón y por supuesto hice la elección de colores para los hilos, usé hilo acrílico de 1mm de espesor de colores: turquesa, azul claro y azul oscuro, amarillo, ocre, naranja, morado, lila , fucsia, rosa claro, blanco, negro para el delineado y gris para el fondo.

To begin, I made a vertically oriented rectangular cutout in the image covering half of the character’s face, from there I made my pattern and of course I made the choice of colors for the threads, I used 1mm thick acrylic thread in colors: turquoise , light blue and dark blue, yellow, ocher, orange, purple, lilac, fuchsia, light pink, white, black for the outline and gray for the background.

Comencé cortando 17 hebras de 48 cm de hilo gris y una hebra adicional unida al ovillo, tomé las hebras por la mitad y las anudé al palito, de este modo obtuve 35 hilos guía y la hebra unida al ovillo sirve como hilo anudador.

I started by cutting 17 strands of 48 cm of gray yarn and an additional strand attached to the ball, I took the strands in half and knotted them to the stick, this way I obtained 35 guide threads and the strand attached to the ball serves as a knotting thread.

En esta técnica como suelo explicarles, se sigue un patrón cuadriculado, es decir que la imagen se construye como si los píxeles de una imagen se sustituyeran por nudos. Los nudos se hacen cuando el hilo anudador envuelve dos veces cada uno de los hilos guía en orden de derecha a izquierda hasta terminar la hilera y de izquierda a derecha en la hilera siguiente, por consiguiente se va avanzando conforme se realizan las hileras de nudos.

In this technique, as I usually explain, a grid pattern is followed, that is, the image is constructed as if the pixels of an image were replaced by knots. The knots are made when the knotting thread wraps each of the guide threads twice in order from right to left until the row is finished and from left to right in the next row, therefore progress is made as the rows of knots are made.

Hice dos hileras solo con hilo gris para comenzar a agregar los hilos de colores, los hilos de colores hacen la función de hilo anudador, por lo tanto se cruza por detrás.

I made two rows only with gray thread to start adding the colored threads, the colored threads act as a knotting thread, therefore it is crossed at the back.

Al finalizar la hilera 73, agrupé los hilos anudadores en 4 partes y con hilo fucsia hice un nudo, luego corté para emparejar las puntas de los flecos. Luego corté 6 hebras de 24 cm de hilo gris e hice la trenza para el colgante de pared.

At the end of row 73, I grouped the knotting threads into 4 parts and with fuchsia thread I tied a knot, then cut to match the ends of the fringes. I then cut 6 24cm strands of gray yarn and made the braid for the wall hanging.

Resultado / Result

El resultado me gustó mucho, porque los colores en conjunto lucen tan vibrantes como los de la carta original. Espero le haya gustado.
