Saludos querida comunidad, esta es mi participación en el concurso Needlework Your Pet, me siento muy feliz porque me gusta hacer cosas que mi gata pueda usar, sin embargo, antes solo había hecho sombreros qué ella usaba por breves momentos, nunca me había atrevido a colocar algo sobre su cuello por temor a incomodarla, pero esta vez tomé el riego e hice una bandana, para mi sorpresa ella aceptó usarla y estuvo con ella mucho tiempo en el día, no obstante no es conveniente usar por mucho tiempo collares y prendas en el cuello de animales que tenga el pelo largo, ella lo tiene solo un poco largo pero lo suficiente para que su cepillado deba hacerle todo los días, esto ayuda a que su pelaje se mantenga sano, espero les guste este proyecto tanto como a mi y a mi gatita Linda.

Greetings dear community, this is my participation in the Needlework Your Pet contest, I feel very happy because I like to make things that my cat can wear, however, before I had only made hats that she wore for brief moments, I had never dared to place something on her neck for fear of making her uncomfortable, but this time I took the risk and made a bandana, to my surprise she agreed to wear it and I was with it for a long time during the day, however it is not convenient to use collars and garments on the neck of animals that have long hair for a long time, she has only a little long hair but long enough that she should be brushed every day, this helps keep her coat healthy, I hope you like this project as much as I and my kitty Linda.

• Ganchillo de acero del #3
• Tijera

Proceso / Process

La idea era hacer una bandana con el dibujo de un pez, pero se me ocurrió que en lugar de un pez podría hacer los huesos de un pez porque los gatos aman comerlos , se que suena un poco cruel pero a la vez me parece que es un buen diseño para ser usado por un gato, busque una imagen de referencia del pez, luego medí el cuello de Linda y conforme a esto determiné las medidas de la bandana y la cantidad de puntadas necesarias para cubrir esa medida.

En la aplicación de Pixel Station pinté los cuadros correspondientes al diseño, con una base de 39 puntadas, cada cuadro representa una puntada, haciendo un triángulo para la forma de la bandana y en el centro el dibujo de los huesos del pez.

The idea was to make a bandana with a fish drawing, but I thought that instead of a fish I could make fish bones because cats love to eat them. I know it sounds a little cruel but at the same time I think it’s a good design to be used by a cat. I looked for a reference image of the fish, then I measured Linda’s neck and based on this I determined the measurements of the bandana and the number of stitches needed to cover that measurement.

In the Pixel Station application I painted the squares corresponding to the design, with a base of 39 stitches, each square represents a stitch, making a triangle for the shape of the bandana and in the center the drawing of the fish bones.

Con hilo rosado hice 100 cadenas, sobre estas cadenas hice 3 hileras de puntos bajos y deje el hilo rosado en suspenso.

With pink thread I made 100 chains, on these chains I made 3 rows of single crochet and left the pink thread hanging.

Salté 30 puntadas y a partir de allí con el hilo beige levanté 39 puntos bajos que corresponden a la primera hilera del triángulo invertido del patrón, para poder hacer el triángulo según el patrón en todas las hileras siguientes se debe hacer un disminución al inicio y al final de cada hilera. En la tercera hilera se agrega el hilo gris para hacer los puntos bajos correspondientes al pez, los cambios de hilo se hacen cruzando las hebras por la parte de atrás.

I skipped 30 stitches and from there with the beige thread I picked up 39 single crochet stitches that correspond to the first row of the inverted triangle of the pattern. In order to make the triangle according to the pattern in all the following rows, a decrease must be made at the beginning and end of each row. In the third row, the grey thread is added to make the single crochet stitches corresponding to the fish. The thread changes are made by crossing the strands at the back.

Una vez terminado el dibujo del pez se debe continuar solo con el hilo beige, haciendo siempre puntos bajos y las disminuciones al principio y final de la hilera hasta que en la última hilera de hace una disminución doble. Se retoma el hilo rosado y se hace una hilera de puntos bajos que cubra todo el borde del triángulo hasta el final.

Once the fish drawing is finished, continue with the beige thread only, always making single crochet stitches and decreasing at the beginning and end of the row until you make a double decrease in the last row. Take up the pink thread again and make a row of single crochet stitches that covers the entire edge of the triangle until the end.

Resultado / Result

La prueba de fuego fue colocar la bandana a Linda pero como dije al principio todo salió de maravilla, ella se sintió un poco tensa al principio pero luego se acostumbró a usarla, a mi me parece que se ve hermosa mi gatita con su bandana. ¿Ustedes que opinan?

The real test was putting the bandana on Linda, but as I said at the beginning, everything went wonderfully. She felt a little tense at first, but then she got used to wearing it. I think my cat looks beautiful with her bandana on. What do you think?
