The place where the steppe meets the forest

For PhotoFeed Contest - Landscape Photography Round 81 by @photofeed I chose a photo I took in the vicinity of the village of Subbotino.
Yesterday we came to this village to visit friends and found ourselves at some local festival. More precisely, the festival itself was almost over, and horse racing was finishing it. And although the races were not for elite racehorses, but for simple rural horses, it was still interesting to watch these horse competitions.
The village of Subbotino is located in a rather interesting area – here the steppe gradually turns into a birch forest, and then into a real taiga.
