Finish the tale contest. The Warning letter.

As the clock struck midnight, the letter in my hand began to glow, my eyes couldn't believe as the envelope radiated light from within, my hands couldn't gain stability as it shook uncontrollably.

My heart began to beat even faster than usual what tge hell could this be? The question pops out of my mouth, my eyes focused on the envelope on my hands but then my hands couldn't open the envelope, I felt my heart sank into my stomach what If something terrible happens to me at the course of opening this letter?

What If I just disappear to an unknown place? So many things ran through my mind but still my head could not comprehend what next to do as fear was the order of the night. The first night went without me even opening the letter. The thought of having someone with me while I open the letter came so I invited Joe My good friend, explained the scenario to him of which he thought it's just an illusion but after much convincing he agreed to spend the night at my house.

Curiosity took over the both of us as we waited patiently for midnight to come. He was anxious to see how a mare paper will glow and I was anxious to see what the content of the letter is, so we stayed all night but surprisingly at midnight the letter did not glow, I managed to convince him to spend another night but the same thing happened it still did not glow on the second night so he said, “I told you it's just a mare illusion” so he left the next day in the morning without us reading the letter.

On the night of the day Joe left I woke up at night to pee when I discovered the glowing letter on the table Where I had kept it. Does this mean the content is for me alone?

I wandered around like a confused rat before I finally reached for the paper, this time around fear was far from me, I opened the letter but My eyes could not comprehend as the alphabet were floating in the air, the alphabets were what made the paper glow immediately it left the paper and went into the air the paper stopped glowing I looked carefully as they arranged themselves into words and into sentences and into a complete and well articulated note.

The letter warned me of a fortune that is coming my way and how I should be careful as I might lose my life if Joe discovers it. I never knew it was a warning against my best friend. No wonder it did not glow when I invited him over.

From that night I redirected my steps with Joe as I try as much as possible to avoid him.

Life is one and doesn't have a duplicate so try as much as possible to protect the one you have.
