Non-tradable Reputation.
Reputation can not be emphasized with whatever in the world most especially if it is my reputation.
“A good name is far better than gold and silver”.
My Dad will always mention this to our hearing as his children this “Good name” is the reputation or the legacy you have kept this legacy doesn't have to be a one time stuff but it should be a perpetual print in the heart of men that whenever they remember your name they tend to adjust their way of living even when you are not there to tell them to.
I will rather have my reputation intact than to have some sort of gold to trade it with.
My reputation has brought me into so many relationships that even money can not buy it helped to build trust that even gold can not give.
When you know what it means for people not to have any doubts about your life then you rather build up reputation first before going for the bags.
You won't know how important your reputation is when replaced with money until the day the money is finished, then you will understand the reason why people respect and honor is because of the penny they will get for showing such respect.
But reputation keeps it forever that even when you possess nothing people still keep it going and even when you are more your reputation still speaks for the next generation such that when your name is mentioned it automatically opens the door of favor for the next generation.
Door that money can not open, a strategic relationship that even money can not give.
So tell me what beats a good reputation.
I have gained a lot of favor from people just because of my reputation. What people are denied is given to me simply because of my reputation, things that even the rich would have bought but they were denied even with their money and influence.
An ordinary me got it effortlessly, in regards to this I don't think I can trade my reputation for anything because I have seen it pay my bills. What else would have done that if not money?
It means reputation is also a currency that money can not buy.
Great point. I usually think that reputation just opens doors or gives like a little bit of advantage. But I haven't think about that it can give us things, and experiences that we wouldn't be able to get if we had a different reputation.
