Hi, I'm back with another contribution to Gaming Photography community and this time I'm going to join Gaming Photography New Year Contest showing and talking about how I tried to write Happy New Year in RDR 2.

Lately I've been playing and to be honest, enjoying Read Dead Redemption 2 a lot. The open-world, the graphics and the different aspects of this game keep amaze me. Besides doing specific missions in this game that I talk about in Hive Gaming Community, I give this game a lot of time every time play it and I like to capture screenshots from those moment using the in-game photo mode.

My planning was to kill a lot of bounty hunters and then use them to write Happy New Year following the concept that I've fond in the contest announcement post.

For that, I chose this place at first thinking I'd hide inside that tiny wooden house and kill the bounty hunters from there and then I'd just put them on the rail tracks to write the words.

But after waiting for a very long time when there was no trace of bounty hunters, I thought of killing the civilians passing that road so I started with this fella on the horse but he escaped riding the horse fast.

Then I noticed this chariot coming from a far and I did a headshot on the driver when they came close enough.

Then when I was removing him out of the chariot so I can carry him on the tracks, I heard someone screaming in the woods and asking for help. I went there found him getting bitten by a snake so I helped him.

And there came another small chariot and I shot this man from there as well but we were much further from the track already so I needed something to carry him.

I cut free the horse from the chariot and after rowing the dead body on the horseback, I returned to the place and left the body beside the rail track and I went to get more bodies.

When I killed another man and came at the same place carrying the body, I noticed the other body was not there which tells me I can't keep dead bodies at a place and go away.

So, I had this change of mind and I planned to go near Valentine (which was a lot far from the location where I was at) to find the place which I knew could be the perfect place to lure some bounty hunters so the journey began.

Some interesting things happened on the way which I might share in different posts.

Here I was. This is Downes Ranch where I did the dirty work for a lot of times. Almost every time I rob a store in Valentine, I come here to seek shelter as the lawmen starts chasing me and that's how I know about this place.

There was a man/a rancher there looking after the animals and there was this pet dog.

This became the future of the rancher as he started to shoot me because I was not leaving that area. As I was going to kill and use Bounty Hunters, I thought I'd use the dead body of this rancher as well as he became a special enemy there.

I kept the body of the rancher there for sometime and I went to calm the dog down and in the meantime, there came some vultures and started messing up the dead body.

Well, I went inside this shade and started waiting there on the upper floor where I normally wait till Bounty Hunters come smelling me. But the there was no trace of the Bounty Hunters in Downes Ranch as well so I changed the plan.

Now I planned to shoot on local peoples so they complain to the law, and when the lawmen comes to get me I'll shoot them down and use their body instead.

The first two common peoples started shooting me so I had to take them down and I kept their body beside the ranchers.

Then I killed another man and when I was carrying that man from the road, I noticed a man on horse coming this way so I willingly showed him what I was doing so he run to the lawmen and my trick came handy.

There came some lawmen and I started a war with them. But after killing some of them, the police case was gone but there were very few bodies as I was thinking of writing entire 12 letters with dead bodies which would need a lot of bodies.

I went down there and left bait (a dead body) on the road so someone else complains to the law for me.

They took the bait and there came more lawmen and then I was thinking it might work out. That pet dog of the rancher was meant to be the only witness of this incident.

It became dark with all this work and I was about to start doing the final thing using the bodies but suddenly I noticed the red color on the mini map and when I opened the map, I saw the them coming, the bounty hunters were coming after all these times.

I had to hid otherwise they'd kill me easily in open so I went back to my hiding place and I killed all the bounty hunters from there easily.

Then there came these trained dogs of the bounty hunters that I fear the most cause every time they attack me, they take me down so I shot down the dogs from above.

Then I went down and was looting all the dead bodies when my next target was to start writing the magical words. But there came more bounty hunters and I didn't wish to fight them this time so I kept silent.

When I was hiding there keeping myself silent, the bounty hunters kept looking for me. They were investigating at the front, at the back.

When I thought they'd go now, they suddenly started firing at me so I had nothing to do but killing them down and I set fire in there as you can see above.

Now I started doing the main part. At first I used the rope to pull the bodies but it was hard to keep them at the right position so I tried carrying them on shoulder and throwing them but that didn't work smooth as well so I had to arrange them using my foot after placing them on the ground.

And look I already made the letter "H" and it just started after all these incidents. Then there came more Bounty Hunters and they kept coming so I didn't think I'd be able to write the whole "Happy New Year" in one night so I decided to write only H for Happy, N for New and Y for Year just like @theindiankid did.

So, there I used total 15 dead bodies for 3 letters although I killed around 7/8X than this.

The "Y" seemed a little off so I used another body at the down part and now it looked better but it became dark again and I couldn't take a good picture of this part as it was already dark and I couldn't wait for the sun to rise again as it takes time in RDR 2.

Let's see how much total time I needed to do this.

So, I needed around 100 minutes in the previous location and in this location excluding the journey time.
