1️⃣ Which travel destination has impacted you the most and why?
More than 14 years ago we traveled on vacation with my daughter to Merida in Tur. Just leaving Caracas to take the ascent of Tazón, a few meters away the bus crashed, several people told us to go back to change buses and the driver did not want to and we continued, when we passed Barquisimeto, it was 11:00 pm, the bus crashed again and there was no way that the 2 drivers managed to get the fault. And they had to call to send another bus. We had to spend the whole night on a single street. They had to call the police to protect us.

The patrol car arrived, but they stayed in the car and fell asleep. The men took turns guarding the bus along with the drivers. In the morning they began to walk to see if there was any business and there was nothing, it was a desert. In the distance they saw four hooded men coming and they could see sticks. Well, we all grabbed stones, rocks and it turned out that when they got closer they were men who were going to cut the forest, and they were bringing machines to cut the forest that grows on the side of the road. We almost hit them with stones. And the men said good morning to us and continued on their way.
About 3 hours later the other bus arrived and we changed and continued on our way to Merida. Afterwards the stay at the posada was very nice and the people in charge were very kind. The tours around Merida were great.

3️⃣ How do you create a balance between giving to others and prioritizing your own needs?

Actually in Venezuela, we have very little to give, because you would have to let them buy food for your own, which is the most you can buy.
However, there are other people who have a little more than you and we rely on those people to do activities for those other people in need. We work on behalf of Caritas, to help the needy. Each one of us makes 10 or 15 or more arepas and then we fill them with what we can get with donations to fill them.

By chance, on Saturday we went to the men's prison and took 140 arepas to give to all those men deprived of their freedom. And from what was left we gave them to those we found on the street.
