Good morning to all anime lovers in hive, there is an activity to recommend some anime of interest for others to watch this holiday season, the link to the event is as follows

To be honest, whenever I get to this point (not knowing what season anime to watch because there are a lot of them on the air, like 30 different series per season), instead of wasting time browsing through some unknown generic anime, I just give a chance to retro anime that are already finished and that I've never seen.

So my list is directed to one or another old series that for x or y reason we never watched because of ignorance of it, or because we consider it archaic.

In my case, being Latin American, many anime were never dubbed into Spanish and never reached South America, so I gave the opportunity to old anime with audio already dubbed in Spanish (ie audio from Spain), to avoid the hassle of reading subtitles.

It is worth mentioning that many anime suffered a remasteurization both in video and audio, that is to say, they have a new dubbing audio (respecting the names of the main characters in Japanese, as well as the freedom to say words that in open TV can not be said, in this case some coarse words such as swear words).

I add that I think it is due to the factor that (being dubbed for dvd or blu ray) are not subjected to TV censorship, so it feels more natural as if it were normal people.

This started when the remake of (lum the invasive "Urusei Yatsura 2022") came out, because I couldn't compare a series without watching the original first.

And yes, I mean watching the original classic Urusei Yatsura.
From here I can say with certainty that after watching the first 2 episodes of the 2 series (remake and original), simply without hesitation I recommend watching the classic series.

The reasons are obvious, the level of humor, nonsense and stories are much better in the old series (I clarify that I am not a fan of Lum to defend it to the hilt because I had never seen it to believe myself a follower of this one). But with the 1st episode you see of the classic series is enough to appreciate the level of adventures that happen to the protagonist, that is, you feel that although the episodes are 30 minutes, they tell several mini stories as sub chapters delivering enough information and humor to soak you in the series, something that the new series can not even remotely deliver to the viewer, as it only provides (pretty colors in their designs, but not the beastly level of humor compared to the old series).

I would add, lum has a lot of episodes, but as I explain, it doesn't feel like filler at all since the author tries to put several mini-stories in 1 episode, so you can say that in reality (1 episode is really 2 or 3 different stories).

About reviewing the series, the main character is a perverted teenager who thinks he is a Cazanova, but nobody pays attention to him because of his intense pursuit of women, any leg with a skirt is enough for him to chase them...something like a (Jonny Bravo). The point is that an alien race invades the earth and give them the opportunity to heal the issue of the (without resorting to wars, with some event between two representatives of their races, in this case a game of catch the other contestant), unfortunately the protagonist wins and then unwittingly takes a new girlfriend or fiancée, which is the alien girl. The dilemma is that she is too jealous and intense to go to the store for groceries without her stalking you and scolding you for talking to another girl.

In fact, the hero Ataru doesn't like this new burden (which is having to put up with Lum), because it breaks his daily life of trying to play Don Juan with any female he comes across.

Despite everything little by little the series is developing and the protagonist is showing feelings towards Lum, and if I say it because when men appear as love rivals both humans and aliens, despite being stubborn in a relationship of not giving in, and to say that if you like Lum to others, but there are episodes where if you accept it, but regrets in the next chapter.

For me this series ended in a movie (where he is forced to marry Lum after going to space to rescue her from a very big problem).
Since Ataru accepts that he does love her... and he did everything for her.

But at the moment of accepting his marriage vows at the altar, he runs away avoiding the commitment.

From then on, any movie or movie grapes they release, is to extend the franchise and the name of the series without giving more relevance (i.e. merchandise filler).

Another retro anime that caught my attention to watch (when I was already tired of the typical generic isekai of seasons), was Anne of Green gables.

I add: this anime, as weird and old as its drawing looks (it is not a random cartoon) is a masterpiece to the point of being a faithful adaptation of the book that was written in the year (1908).

I dare to say that this anime should be next to the tablets of Moses in the ark of the covenant and be disseminated to all generations for how excellent it is to the original work.

And I'm not exaggerating, there have been live action movies, netflix adaptations but none reflect the book as well as this retro anime.

So it's simply one of those things that will never disappoint you, because it hooks you from start to finish.

And then, along with watching series (although this one is not anime), is watching the complete series of Avatar the Legend of Aang, followed by Avatar the Legend of Korra.

Undoubtedly, they are one of those occasions when it is worth sitting down to watch something without any remorse.

My recommendation is always when you do not know what to watch on TV, give a chance to a finished series even if it is very retro, because you should not judge the works by their year of animation but by the level of entertainment it offers.

Siendo honesto siempre que llego a este punto (de no saber que anime de temporada ver "pues hay un montón de estas al aire", como 30 series distintas por temporada), pues en vez de perder el tiempo curioseando algún anime genérico desconocido, simplemente le doy la oportunidad a animes retro que ya están finalizados y que jamas he visto.

Así que pues mi lista esta dirigida a una que otra serie antigua que por x o y razón jamas vimos por desconocimiento de la misma, o porque la consideramos arcaica.

En mi caso al ser latinoamericano, muchos animes jamas se doblaron a español y no llegaron a sur américa, así que le di la oportunidad a animes antiguos con audio ya doblado en castellano (osea audio de España), para no complicarme leyendo subtítulos.

Cabe decir que muchos animes sufrieron una remasteurizacion tanto en video como en audio, es decir tienen un nuevo audio de doblaje (respetando los nombres de los protagonistas en japones, asi como la libertad de decir palabras que en tv abierta no se pueden decir, en este caso algunas palabras gruesas como groserías).

Añado que creo que se debe al factor que (al ser doblaje para Dvd o blu ray) no están sometidos a la censura de tv, así que por ese lado se siente mas natural, como si de gente normal se tratase.

Esto empezó cuando literalmente salio el Remake de la serie anime de (lum la invasora "Urusei Yatsura 2022"), pues no podia comparar una serie , sin ver primero la version original.

Y si, me refiero a verme la Urusei Yatsura original clásica.
Desde aquí puedo decir con certeza que al observar los primeros 2 episodios de las 2 series (remake y original), simplemente sin dudarlo recomiendo ver la serie clásica.

Los motivos son obvios, el nivel de humor, disparates e historias son muchísimo mejor en la serie vieja (aclaro que no soy fan de Lum para defenderla a capa y espada pues nunca la había visto como para creerme seguidor de esta). Pero con el 1° episodio que veas de la serie clásica te basta y sobra para apreciar el nivel de aventuras que le ocurren al protagonista, es decir, se siente que pese a que los episodios son de 30 minutos, narran varias mini historias como sub capítulos entregando bastante información y humor para empaparte de la serie, cosa que la serie nueva ni por asomo puede entregar al espectador, ya que solo brinda (colores bonitos en sus diseños, pero no el nivel bestial de humor comparado de la serie antigua).

Añado, Lum tiene muchísimos episodios, pero como explico, no se siente para nada relleno ya que el autor trata de ponernos diversas mini historias en 1 solo episodio, así que se puede decir que en realidad (1 solo episodio son en verdad 2 o 3 historias distintas).

Sobre reseñar la serie, pues el protagonista es un adolescente pervertido que se cree un don juan, pero nadie le hace caso por lo intenso que es al perseguir mujeres, osea cualquier pierna con faldas le basta para irse a perseguirlas...algo así como un (Jonny Bravo). El punto es que una raza alienigena invade la tierra y les dan la oportunidad de sanjar el asunto de la (colonización sin recurrir a guerras, con algun evento entre dos representantes de sus razas, en este caso un juego de atrapar al otro), lamentablemente el prota gana y pues se lleva (y sin querer) una nueva novia o prometida, que es la chica alienigena.

El dilema es que ella es demasiado celosa e intensa como para que puedas ir a la tienda por viveres, sin que te aseche y te recrimine por hablar con otra chica.

En si al héroe Ataru no le gusta esta nueva carga (que es tener que soportar a Lum), pues le rompe su vida cotidiana de intentar jugar a ser un Don Juan con cualquier fémina que se le cruce.

Pese a todo poco a poco la serie se va desarrollando y el protagonista va demostrando sentimientos hacia Lum, y si lo digo pues al aparecer más hombres como rivales amorosos tanto humanos como alienigenas, Pues el protagonista es obstinado en una relación "de no ceder por decir que (si le gusta Lum)", pero hay episodios donde si lo acepta, pero se arrepiente en el siguiente capitulo.

Para mi esta serie termino en una película (donde es obligado a casarse con Lum luego de ir al espacio para rescatarla de un problema muy grande).
Ya que Ataru acepta que si la quiere... y lo hizo todo por ella.

Pero en el momento de aceptar sus votos en el altar, este huye eludiendo el compromiso.

De allí en adelante cualquier película u ovas que saquen, es para extender la franquicia y el nombre de la serie sin darle mayor relevancia a la serie (osea relleno de mercadería).

Otro anime retro que me llamo la atención mirar (cuando ya estaba cansado de los típicos isekai genéricos de temporadas), fue Ana de las tejas verdes

Añado: este anime por mas raro y antiguo que se vea su dibujo, (no es una caricatura random) la verdad es una obra maestra al punto de ser una fiel adaptación del libro que fue escrito en el año (1908).

Me atrevo a decir que este anime debería ser estar junto a las tablas de Moisés en el arca de la alianza y ser divulgada a todas las generaciones por lo excelente que es a la obra original.

Y no exagero, han habido películas de live action, adaptaciones netflix pero ninguna refleja tan bien el libro como este anime retro.

Añado que simplemente son de esas cosas que jamas de tan a desilusionar, pues te engancha de inicio a fin.

Y pues a la par de ver series (aunque esta no es anime), es verse completa la serie de avatar la leyenda de Aang, seguida de Avatar la leyenda de Korra.

Indiscutiblemente son de esas ocasiones en que vale la pena sentarse a ver algo sin remordimiento alguno.

Mi recomendación es siempre que no sepas que ver en tv, darle la oportunidad a una serie finalizada asi sea muy retro, pues no hay que juzgar las obras por su año de animación si no por el nivel de entretenimiento que nos ofrece.
