Street food day in Belgrade

avatar

Street food festivals are often held in my city, Belgrade. In general, our people like to eat and enjoy food. And I am certainly one of them. 😊 But this time, we visited the street food festival to walk by the river and see the event on the way back from a birthday party where we already had lunch and weren't hungry.

This event was held on the quay of the Sava River in a settlement called New Belgrade. As soon as we arrived we saw lots of people taking a leisurely stroll by the river and that was exactly what we needed.

There are spacious green areas where children played and many people rested on the grass.

There were stands with different international street food that you could try here.

People are crazy about Ferdinand dumplings, they come in many flavors and are very popular here.

I liked the flower decorations around, surroundings were colorful.

There were many places to sit and eat your food.

There were mostly stands with various types of sausages, and I'm not a fan of them.

My kids were interested in trying a corn dog, which is like a hot dog but covered in different types of cheese.

We liked that there was music and it was a very lively atmosphere. A DJ was a girl who entertained people with her music and she was good at it.

My children love rivers, so we often visit the quays. Sometimes we spend the day by the Sava River, sometimes by the Danube River, but we always feel comfortable there, especially if there are some feathered friends that we can watch and feed. 😊

That's all for today. In one of the following posts, I will write about the experience from the Danube river, where we often spend our days.

Thank you very much for reading.

The images and writing are original and mine.

Some think it was a better country then, some think it is now, but many people are nostalgic when they talk about it... 😊

Not a big fan of street food here but it's definitely a cool and exciting place to check out especially in a foreign country as you can taste some of the traditional stuff and have fun at the same time :)

I'm also not a big fan of street food, but sometimes I try something delicious at these festivals. But it's definitely more interesting to be at these festivals in foreign countries... 😊

They just look that way. They actually taste completely different. The dough is made from potatoes 😊

There are often festivals like this in my city. And they are especially cool when they are held by the river... I've never heard of a corn dogs before, but I've noticed that it's a popular street food 😊

Towards the end of the summer many towns here have there annual fairs. Both large and small venues which have rides, live stock, and other activities. I really like the small town ones because entry is free and Imo have things The large ones don't. The corn dog is a staple at them. Often they are large often a foot long and you can't find a better tasting one than at these places. Many other fair like foods such as nachos, funnel cakes and a few others.
