Harvesting and replanting spring onions

Gardening is really good to our life. It gives us fresh food to eat and it helps us exercise in simple way. It can relieve stress and it gives some fun and it draws a smile on a gardeners face.

One Sunday morning, to be exact it was August 20, 2023 (I knew the date from the date of pictures taken) when I decided to get some spring onions for cooking. The earth is so fresh that time after the rain in the evening. The soil is wet, the leaves are so fresh and so blooming, being so happy and grateful for the rain.

As the gardener, I am so happy harvesting some leaves of the spring onions. I am so happy doing it and I noticed that my spring onions are so many in the pot and they can hardly grow. Their leaves started to become thin as they are so many in a pot.

I decided to uproot spring onions from two pots. It was a plenty of harvest and it is more than enough for my needs that morning.

I cut some of its roots as well as it's leaves and then replanted it in the pots.

I don't know what happened to me but I enjoyed gardening that morning and decided to uproot them all.

I enjoyed harvesting them and this is all I harvested that morning. It is so many for my family so I decided to clean them up, cut some roots and packed them and I then gave some to my neighbors, sister in law as well as my brother. They are so happy receiving it and told me that they received a blessing through my garden.

I prepared the soil in the pot again, I cultivated them, remove some weeds and put some eggshells.

I planted four stalks of spring onions in every pot.

I am so happy and satisfied with what I did that morning. Harvesting what we have planted really brings joy in our heart and much more if we were able to make other people happy by sharing what we have harvested from our garden.

I wished that they will grow healthy and after a month I was able to start harvesting some of its leaves again.

As of today, here are my spring onions.

Gardening can be done in small and much more in big spaces. If you don't have big space like me, you can also plant some vegetables in a pot.

Let's enjoy and have fun in our garden and you don't know someone is being inspired by your garden and they will make their garden too.
