[Fan Art] My Healer Traits Contest Entry

Holo, everyone! A new contest was posted yesterday, and so, I have the opportunity to make another fanart with my suggested asset.

Quick Art Process

First is sketching the head pose and goggles. Hard to imagine the heart-shaped goggles alone so I looked for a reference in Pinterest. Then using a solid brush, I did the lineart. I used different line weights to highlight the main lines. I used a smaller size for the details.

Using the color-picker tool, I copied the colors from the original art. I adjusted some colors to blend with others. I used multiply mode and airbrushed an orange tint on the goggles. The gradient hologram is a preset downloaded from the asset store. I just blend and smudged the colors to look compact. added the shine and shadows using a flat brush, blend, and blur brush.

Final Art

In the final stage, I added a simple background of a gradient of blue and white. Added some noise texture on top of all layers.

My Asset Suggestion

My suggestion can be applied to any healer. Today, I will use water female healer to showcase the looks.

Hair style/color (Side bangs + pink gradient hair)

I want to add a simple pink gradient color from the tips of the hair. I was thinking of matching it to the color of whatever head accessory the healer has. It can be any color though. 😁 Maybe be it can also a two-toned gradient color. On the other hand, a swoosh of a side bangs is a nice, little hairstyle detail. Maybe I am biased because this is my hairstyle rn. 😆

Facial expressions (Wink eye + tilted head pose)

I want to add a fun and cheerful expression. 😁 A wink and titled head pose is perfect for healers. I find this idea through anime expressions. I want them to appear adorable and delightful.

Eyewear and mask (Heart goggles scanner + holo-colored mask)

I really, really, like the heart-shaped goggles in pink! 😫 (Again, any color can be applied). A stylish and futuristic way to scan! This is the main asset I am suggesting. 🥳 I was thinking of a chunky goggle scanner that can detect a wild creature's stats such as health, mana, etc.

Of course, we need some holo stuff! The idea for this mask came from here. It is a hard mask with some shine on it. I feel like it looks futuristic and cool. 😁
