Hive Music Festival week 123 round 3 / Santana - Europa ( Guitar cover)

Hola a todos mis queridos amigos y amigas de Music Zone. Nueva semana nuevo video, un desafío más para aprender en esta maravillosa comunidad. Para la semana numero 123 quise compartir con todos ustedes un cover en la guitarra eléctrica de uno de mis guitarristas favoritos de todos los tiempos como lo es el artista mexicano Carlos Santana, para mi este guitarrista influyo mucho desde cuando era muy pequeño cuando empece a tocar la guitarra. La primera vez que escuché la canción Europa me pareció genial y tenia un sonido particular que de inmediato sabias que era Santana. Gracias a él fue que pase de la guitarra acústica a la eléctrica y le dije a mi mamá que quería una guitarra electrica para poder tocar las canciones de Santana. Una de las primeras canciones que me quise aprender fue "Samba pa ti" y "Europa". Recuerdo que me pasaba mucho tiempo aprendiendo las técnicas que Santana más usaba como los bendigs. Aún conservo esa primera guitarra eléctrica y también debo decir que gracias a mi padre que es también un gran fan de Carlos Santana fue que empecé a escucharlo y aprenderme muchas de sus canciones. La canción Europa es un tema instrumental y fue el primer sencillo de su disco del año 1976 “Amigos”, el cual se caracteriza por ser un álbum instrumental casi en su totalidad, y que tiene guitarras eléctricas muy potentes con fuertes raíces latinas. Se puede decir que también tiene algo de raíces flamencas en alguno de los tema. Europa es la única composición de Santana que tiene mucho blues, con toques de percusión, bajo y otra guitarra rítmica que acompañan al fraseo principal y una melodía muy melódica, mucho bending y mucho sustain que van contando la historia que mucha gente dice que la inspiro el mal viaje que una amiga de Santana tuvo con las adicción de las drogas por el año 1967. Está canción es bueno acotar que la compuso con la ayuda de uno de los miembros de su banda Tom Coster.

I still have that first electric guitar and I must also say that thanks to my father, who is also a big fan of Carlos Santana, I started listening to him and learning many of his songs.The song Europa is an instrumental song and was the first single from his 1976 album “Amigos”, which is characterized by being an almost entirely instrumental album, and which has very powerful electric guitars with strong Latin roots. You can say that it also has some flamenco roots in some of the songs. Europa is the only Santana composition that has a lot of blues, with touches of percussion, bass and another rhythm guitar that accompany the main phrasing and a very melodic melody, a lot of bending and a lot of sustain that tell the story that many people say was inspired by the bad trip that a friend of Santana had with drug addiction in 1967. It is good to note that he composed this song with the help of one of the members of his band Tom Coster.
