LUCKY MONTH FOR WEDDING

Naalala ko noong nagpaplano palang kami magpakasal ng husband ko, sa buwan ng Hunyo din ang pinili naming petsa ng magiging kasal namin noon dahil nga ma swerte daw ang ikakasal sa buwang ito. Isa rin ako sa tinatawag na "June Bride" noon. Pero hindi naman dahil sa swerte lang kami kumapit na mag asawa kaya namin pinili ang buwang iyon. Dahil na rin sa yun ang sa tingin namin ang naaakmang buwan pagkatapos ng kaarawan ko sa buwan ng Mayo. Pero mostly we considered the fact na handa na talaga kami magpakasal that time. And I guess, iyon naman ang pinaka importante eh, yung handa kana at hindi lang dahil sa maswerte ang buwan ng Hunyo.

(I remembered when my husband and I were planning to get married, we chose the date of our wedding in the month of June because it is said that it is lucky to get married in this month. I was also one of the so-called "June Brides" back then. But it's not just because of luck that we got married that's why we chose that month because that's also what we think is the right month after my birthday in the month of May. But mostly we considered the fact that we were really ready to get married at that time. And I guess, that's the most important thing, that you're ready and not just because the month of June is lucky.)

Aside sa pagiging ma swerte daw ang buwan ng Hunyo, iyon lang din talaga ang alam ko kung bakit marami ang pumipili na magpakasal sa buwang ito. And now I wonder, kung bakit nga ba?

Naisip ko na baka dahil simula ng rainy season yan dito sa Pilipinas. Maganda naman kasi kung maulan ang panahon. Kasi ibig sabihin nun na?

Maganda ang paglaki at magiging maganda ang ani ng mga pananim dahil nga laging may dilig ng ulan, di ba?

Pero sa totoo lang, ngayon ko lang talaga naisipang itanong ky Google kung bakit nga ba maswerte, at ito ang nalaman ko.

Ang pangalang June ay nagmula sa Romanong diyosa ng kasal, si Juno. Naniniwala ang mga pamilya kapag ikinasal ang mag-asawa sa buwan ng Hunyo, sila ay biyayaan ng kaligayahan magpakailanman. (Source)

Ngayong alam mo na kung bakit maswerte ang buwan ng Hunyo sa pagpapakasal, maniniwala kaba dito at nanaisin ring makasal sa buwang ito o ibabase mo ang desisyon sa kahandaan mo emotionaly, mentally, and sympre financially sa pagpapakasal?
