Between sedentary lifestyle and healthy living? | LOH #220 week contest
Greetings ladies, we have already started a new year and I have had some good and bad experiences. It also makes me sad that I could not organize myself well enough to participate in the previous contest, but at least today I can. Let's go with the questions.
Saludos ladies, ya iniciamos un nuevo año y ya he tenido unas cuantas experiencias buenas y malas, también me pone triste que no pude organizar bien para participar en el concurso anterior pero al menos hoy sí puedo, vamos con las preguntas.
What are your eating habits like? Do you have favourite self-care recipes? And do you tend to eat whatever you crave for?
I don't really add diets to my life but I do try to eat healthy and balanced, well, that's my philosophy but I have to mention that this year I want to try a different approach and more focused on taking care of what I'm eating, also because there are some goals I want to meet, currently I'm making my meals on my own but soon I will be following a diet planned especially for me by a specialist, for now I'm leaving you some photos of what I usually eat every day looks like. And it's worth mentioning that from time to time I can do something different like eat a pizza or a hamburger. I hardly drink soda, mostly just water, although just yesterday I decided to go out for a couple of cocktails to take advantage of the opportunity that I don't have the diet yet.
¿Cómo son tus hábitos alimenticios? ¿Tienes recetas de autocuidado favoritas? ¿Y sueles comer todo lo que te apetece?
Realmente no suelo agregar dietas en mi vida pero sí intento comer saludable y equilibrado, bueno, esa es mi filosofía pero tengo que mencionar que este año quiero probar con un enfoque diferente y más enfocado en cuidar lo que estoy comiendo, también porque hay unos objetivos que quiero cumplir, actualmente estoy haciendo mis comidas por mi cuenta pero debo próximamente estaré siguiendo una dieta planeada especialmente para mi por un especialista, Por ahora les dejo unas fotos de como se ve lo que suelo comer todos los días. Y cabe destacar que de vez en cuando puedo hacer algo diferente como comer una pizza o una hamburguesa. Casi no tomo gaseosas, mayormente solo agua, aunque justamente ayer decidí salir a tomar un par de cocteles para provechar la oportunidad de que aún no tengo la dieta.
Most of us are either working from home or in a office, sitting for hours to get work done. What are the hacks or exercises you do to reduce sedentary challenges?
I usually used to go for a walk of at least 30 minutes, the advantage of having many parks near the area, so it is easy. However, many years have passed with this routine and I no longer felt it was enough, and not only to reduce the sedentary lifestyle but also because I was already feeling constantly stressed and with many emotional lows, which are also due to the fact of not receiving sunlight daily because there were days when I did not leave the house... In November I made the decision to go to the gym but before this, I looked for some videos on YouTube of exercises at home, the first 2 days are the worst because afterwards your body hurts a lot but once you get through the week, you will feel much better about yourself. I honestly recommend leaving the house, at least 30 minutes a day, and complement it with a home routine, without the need to use weights or other things, just keeping the body active.
La mayoría de nosotras trabajamos desde casa o en una oficina, y pasamos horas sentadas para hacer nuestro trabajo. ¿Qué trucos o ejercicios haces para reducir los desafíos del sedentarismo?
Normalmente solía ir de caminata de al menos 30 minutos, la ventaja que tengo muchos parques cerca de la zona, entonces es sencillo. Sin embargo, ya han pasado muchos años con esta rutina y ya no lo sentía suficiente, y no solo para reducir el sedentarismo sino también porque ya me estaba sintiendo en constante estrés y con muchos bajones emociones, que también se deben al hecho de no recibir luz solar diariamente porque había días que no abandona la casa... En noviembre tomé la decisión de ir al gym pero antes de esto, me busqué unos videos en YouTube de ejercicios en casa, los primeros 2 días son los peores porque después te duele mucho el cuerpo pero una vez que superes la semana, te vas a sentir muchísimo mejor contigo mismo. Yo, con honestidad recomiendo salir de casa, al menos 30 minutos en el día, y complementar con una rutina casera, sin necesidad de usar peso u otras cosas, solamente manteniendo el cuerpo activo.

La verdad sí necesitaba estar en movimientos porque había momentos donde me venían bajones emocionales muy fuertes y era debido a esto y la falda de sol
