Christmas Dishes | LOH #161 contest week
Greetings ladies, today we are answering a fairly simple question, I thought that before I was not excited about this time of year but I discovered that eating at this time is.

The holiday season and the New Year celebrations brings about special traditions in foods. What we want to know is: what is the most decadent dessert you enjoy during this time? Please provide a picture of the dessert (preferably with you enjoying it but not required), and if it's something you make, maybe provide the recipe so we can all enjoy a taste!
I love all the Christmas dishes from my country, I am not a fan of eating so much sweets or desserts, I always like the main meal. The dish consists of a hallaca (it looks very similar to a tamale), a salad (potato, carrot, peas, chicken or shredded chicken, some add apple, mayonnaise, salt and pepper.) Pernil and a piece of bread ham. And for dessert it can be a black cake with macerated fruits, also panettone with hot chocolate ☕ but I enjoy the dish that I already mentioned. Unfortunately I don't have photos of eating that or of the entire dish, I only have old photos of the hallacas and yes, I also have a post about my hallacas. I love them!!!
La temporada navideña y las celebraciones de Año Nuevo generan tradiciones gastronómicas especiales. Lo que queremos saber es: ¿cuál es el postre más exquisito que disfrutas durante esta época? Proporciona una imagen del postre (preferiblemente disfrutándolo, pero no es obligatorio) y, si es algo que tú preparas, tal vez la receta para que todos podamos disfrutarlo.
A mí me encanta todo el plato navideño de mi país, no soy fan de comer tanto dulce o de los postres, siempre me gusta la comida principal. El plato consta de una hallaca (se parece mucho a un tamal), una ensalada (de papa, zanahoria, guisantes, gallina o pollo deshilachado, algunos le ponen manzana, mayonesa, sal y pimienta.) Pernil y un pan trozo de pan de jamón. Y como postre puede ser una torta negra con frutos macerados, también paneton con chocolate caliente ☕ pero yo disfruto más el plato que ya les comenté. Lamentablemente no tengo fotos comiendo eso y tampoco del platillo completo, solo tengo fotos viejas de las hallacas y sí, también tengo un post de mis hallacas. Las amoooo!!!

Las hallacas es uno de los platillos más deliciosos que tenemos en nuestra gastronomía.
De verdad que sí, riquísimas, no he probado nada igual, tiene mucho más sabor que los platillos similares que he probado de otro país.

That looks delicious. During this season, what I missed the most was eating mango float and macaroni salad.. We used to make these desserts during Christmas and I missed the Filipino foods badly. Been 6 years, turning 7 years that I won't be at home at Christmas 🥲
For my now it will be 3 years that I'm out. My mom has a mango tree :( I also missed that because mangoes here I don't know but tastes different, also with my mom it's free because it is our own tree, but here mango it's expensive
