What actions do you recommend to keep control in difficult moments?

Sometimes I have anxiety attacks caused by my own mind or when a situation is very overwhelming and I think that it is not going to affect me, it does and it presents itself in the symptom of feeling that I can't breathe or that it is very hot, and I do several things that are simple but calm me.

1.- If I have the chance I go to the bathroom to wet my face with cold water, that brings me back to my senses.

2.- I close my eyes and start counting slowly, each number is a complete breath, until I reach 10.

3.- I drink cold water (I don't usually drink cold water) the change in temperature is good for my body.

4.- When what I feel is too much I choose to cry until I feel relieved

5.- On rare occasions I eat chocolate, it transports me to another world where I don't think about absolutely anything else, just the chocolate and that it tastes delicious.

6.- When I am alone I usually lie down on the cold floor, I usually rest my face on the floor.

I'm not sure why this happens and I've never stopped to investigate or think about it, but changes in temperature (the cold) help me calm down perhaps because it's a sudden change that makes me focus on something else.

Existe un enorme estigma contra la salud mental y sus temas relacionados. Muchas mujeres pasan toda la vida batallando sin conseguir un diagnóstico adecuado, de hecho, muchas mujeres ni siquiera se atreven a acudir a un especialista. Simplemente se nos tacha de histéricas y demasiado dramáticas. Por eso, si yo fuera juez de LOH esta semana mis preguntas serían:

¿Qué acciones recomiendas para mantener el control en momentos difíciles?

Yo a veces tengo ataques de ansiedad provocados por mi propia mente o cuando una situación es muy abrumadora y pienso que no me va a afectar, sí lo hace y se presenta en el síntoma de sentir que no puedo respirar o que hace muchísimo calor, y hago varias cosas que son sencillas pero me calman.

1.- Si tengo la posibilidad voy al baño a mojarme la cara con agua fría, eso me devuelve a mis sentidos.

2.- Cierro los ojos y empiezo a contar lentamente, cada número es una respiración completa, hasta llegar al 10.

3.- Tomo agua fría (yo no suelo tomar agua Fría) el cambio de temperatura le hace bien a mi cuerpo.

4.- Cuando lo que siento es demasiado opto por llorar hasta sentirme aliviada

5.- En raras ocasiones me como un chocolate, me transporta a otro mundo donde no pienso en absolutamente nada más, solo el chocolate y que sabe rico.

6.- Cuando estoy sola suelo echarme en el piso frío, por lo general apoyaba mi cara en el piso.

No estoy segura de por qué sucede esto y nunca me he detenido a investigarlo o pensar en ello, pero los cambios de temperatura (el frío) me ayuda a calmarme quizá porque es un cambio brusco que me hace concentrarme en otra cosa.

Hormonal imbalance can also affect the mental state of women.. We get irritated, we crave, we have mood swings, etc... But everything has an underlying issue, so it's good to know the roots to better understand the situation and cope with it..

Muy curiosa la forma en la que dominas tus momentos difíciles, el cambio de temperatura es estimulante para adaptarnos a las situaciones. Me gustó mucho tu técnica, a veces el no conocernos a nosotros mismos hace que no dominemos ciertas situaciones o acciones. Yo en ese caso, medito o hago ejercicios de respiración y me coloco en Savasana para liberar tensión.❤️

La verdad ayuda muchísimo el cambio de temperatura. Por otro lado, hey, yo he practicado yoga pero siguiendo algunas clase de internet siempre quise hacerlo presencial pero aquí en dónde estoy, casi no conozco lugares y a dos donde logré ver estaba bien costoso

I would try chocolates when ever I found myself in difficult situations if it will work for me, but I found cold water very helpful. its helps me calm my nerves. thanks for sharing, do have a lovely day.

Coldest temperature makes us feel as comfy as we would like to be. In my opinion, that explain why we feel so comfortable about it. By the way, loved your cover-post pic.
