It's a day like any other. I'm sitting on the couch watching John Wick and out of nowhere the mailman yells: MAIL! At first I thought it was strange, I wasn't expecting any package, I immediately imagined something my wife had bought. I received the package and signed for it, there was no sender, how strange! Anyway, I called my partner and asked if she had bought anything. Her answer was intriguing: she hadn't bought anything lately. I was apprehensive and, like every sensible man does, I opened it to see what was inside.

The box had about 8 layers of protection: cardboard, plastic, Styrofoam balls, foam and even toilet paper. Honestly, I imagined some kind of prank, this is common these days. After about 10 minutes of opening layer by layer, I found a glasses. My friend, my mind blessed the life of the person who tried to play this trick on me. Anyway, there was nothing I could do. Even though I imagined that the lens would be about 50 degrees and would harm my vision, I decided to try it.

When I picked it up, I felt a metallic and soft material. When I placed it on my face, it adapted to its shape, so perfectly that I barely felt its presence. The magic happened at that exact moment. My vision looked like a computer screen. Reality mixed with the virtual and countless possibilities appeared. I accidentally said, “Jesus, have mercy,” and at that very moment he created a route to the nearest church. I imagined: artificial intelligence or alien technology? Wow, the possibilities seemed endless. I accidentally mentioned, “What abilities should these glasses have?” He immediately started a tutorial explaining all the existing abilities. The X-ray vision ability seemed a bit exaggerated to me, but I should find something for that. The most incredible thing was a danger sensor. The children were playing ball in the street and a boy kicked the ball in my direction. Out of nowhere, the device activated my motor activity and helped me dodge it quickly. I was fascinated by everything.

Without thinking twice, I spent the rest of the day testing all its abilities. When the night came, I fell asleep, exhausted. When I woke up, my wife called me for breakfast and I asked everyone about the glasses. No one knew anything. I told her about the mailman, the package, and nothing. I almost cried when I discovered that it was all just a dream.
