DEVELOPING NEW SKILLS
One positive thing about human beings is their ability to adapt. The sudden loss of vision and hearing would initially cause some psychological problems, their sense of taste would be a wall of wailing. The adaptation period would be long, a drastic change in lifestyle. However, over time, the other senses (touch, smell and taste) would develop to try to make up for part of this loss.
Life would no longer be the same, patience and dependence would be commonplace in everyday life, at least until they had a mentally familiar place. It is possible to survive in this reality, despite the hardships and difficulties of everyday life, there is always the incentive to move forward.
Taste would be the best weapon, being able to say what you need and answer questions in tactile Braille would be some of the few possible forms of communication. Your sense of smell would be meticulous, you would develop abilities to heroic levels, something that you must keep secret in the midst of new experiences.
I don't know if it would take months or years, but this radical change would end with a home adapted to the capabilities/skills developed in the transition of this change, the biggest regret would be never being able to see the beauties of life, but life would follow its course normal.
