Sun Thursday Contest Issue 23
Sun Thursday Contest Issue 23
My favorite sunset for the #SunThursday competition is hosted by @uwelang
The first photo for the competition and the others are the accompaniment ...
Along with the sunset and another part of the Little Prince's journey 🤗
People," said the little prince, "press on high-speed trains, but they no longer know what they are looking for." Then they become restless and spin in a circle ...
And he added:
- It's not worth ...
The well we reached did not look like the wells in the Sahara. Saharan wells are ordinary holes dug in the sand. This one looked like a village well. But there was no village there and I thought I was dreaming. - It's unusual, I told the little prince, everything is ready: winch, bucket and rope ...
He laughed, touched the rope, and let the winch unwind. The winch creaked like an old rooster on the roof when there was no wind for a long time....
Do you hear, said the little prince, we woke up this well and he sings ...
I didn't want to strain:
- Let me go, I told him, it's too hard for you.
I slowly lifted the bucket to the stone fence. I stuck it there. The song of the chirping was still humming in my ears, and in the water that was still trembling, I saw the sun trembling. - I'm thirsty for water, said the little prince, let me drink ...
And I understood what he was looking for!
I lifted the bucket to his lips. He drank with his eyes closed. It was as quiet as a ceremony. That water was more than food. It came from walking under the stars, from the song of the chopper, from the effort of my hands. It pleased her heart as a gift. When I was little, the light of the Christmas tree, the music of the midnight service, gentle smiles gave my Christmas present all its emperor.
-People from your planet, said the little prince, grow five thousand roses in only one garden ... and they are not able to find in them what they are looking for ... - They can't find it, I answered ...
-And yet what they are looking for, can be found in a single rose or in a little water ...
-Of course, I answered.
And the little prince added: - But the eyes are blind. It should be sought with the heart.
I got drunk. I took a deep breath. The sand at dawn has the color of honey. I was also happy about that color of honey. Why did she have to get sad ...
"You must keep your promise," said the little prince, who sat down beside me again. - What promise?
- You know ... a muzzle for my sheep ... I'm responsible for that flower!
I pulled my unfinished drawing out of my pocket. The young prince saw them and said, laughing:
-Your baobabs face a little cabbage ...
-Oh!
And I was so proud of the baobabs! - Your fox ... her ears ... her face a little on the horns ... they're too long!
He was still laughing.
-You're unfair, little one, I've never been able to draw anything but the snake king inside and out.
-Oh! It will be good, he said, the children understand.
So I drew a muzzle. My heart sank as I gave it to him:
- You have some intentions that I don't know about ...
But he doesn't answer me. He just told me: - You know, my fall to Earth ... tomorrow will be a year ...
Then, feeling a little silent, he added: - I fell very close ...
And blushed.
Not understanding why, I felt some strange sadness again. But one question came to my mind: - So it's no coincidence that the morning I met you, eight days ago, you were walking like that, all alone, thousands of miles away from all the settlements. Did you go back to where you fell?
The little prince blushed even more.
I added, hesitating: - Maybe because of the anniversary? ...
The little prince blushed again. He never answered questions, but when a man blushes, it means "yes," right?
-Ah! I told him, I'm afraid ...
But he answered me: - You need to work now. You need to get back to your machine. I'll wait for you here. Come back tomorrow night ...
But that didn't calm me down. I remembered the fox. If a man allows himself to be tamed, he may cry ...
