This microfiction story is for the prompt "not a trace". It reminds me of something or someone that has gone missing or is reduced or eliminated until nothing remains. Below is my story.
The decline began with orders to cease distribution of historical information.
Alarmed, the indigenous elders convened.
"They'll continue to erode our history until not a trace of our invaluable knowledge and practices remain," one elder interjected.
Fight for our identity, they agreed, until the last of us. Even beyond perpetuity.

«Seguirán erosionando nuestra historia hasta que no quede ni rastro de nuestros valiosísimos conocimientos y prácticas», intervino un anciano.
Lucharemos por nuestra identidad, acordaron, hasta el último de nosotros. Incluso más allá de la perpetuidad.
