"Over the ridge" is the prompt I'm using for today's microfiction story. The phrase reminded me of a place I once visited. I was afraid to inch toward the edge of the cliff and look over. So, in this story, I converted the prompt into a ZAPFIC50 that's told in exactly 50 words. The challenge was created by @felt.buzz.

"Captain, we're headed straight for and will tumble over the ridge."
"But you will die a hero, admired by all throughout the expanse of time."
Menoz frowned. I'm only eighteen. My newborn son and wife are waiting. I've a life planned.

"Whoa," Menoz ordered, pulling reins back.
