Final Power Up of 2024 | Hive Power Up Day for December 1st
Having worked diligently all year, it's especially gratifying to see goals being met. I've actually accomplished several goals this year, both online and offline. While my health held up relatively well all year, I did have bouts of diabetes-related issues. Thankfully, I was able to get them under control with the help of my diabetes counselor. Additionally, I'm only 9 pounds away from losing a total of 50 pounds this year under my diabetes protocol. Now, that's an accomplishment.
In my minimalist efforts, I was able to downsize by donating a large quantity of furniture, family clothing items, toys, household goods, equipment, and tools. This task was a culmination of a major year-long effort and 2024 goal.
Now I can cruise to the end of the year and relax. I'll set new goals for 2025 in a few weeks.
But first, I need to power up for December 1st.
For December Hive PUD, I powered up a small amount. As usual, I retain liquid for investment opportunities, leasing, and supporting other Hive members and communities with automatic transfers.

My account has grown slowly, but steadily in Hive Power monthly. The month of November saw an increase of 715.568 HP. However, it was considerably down from 1,134 HP for October.** Still, my small success comes from daily posting, engagement on the platform, and passive income.
I continue to power up my account for several reasons, a few of which are to achieve (i) greater voting power on content blogs; (ii) additional curation rewards when I vote on other bloggers' posts; and (iii) additional resource credits to perform transactions on the Hive Blockchain.
Encompassing the new features recently implemented for engagement (Comment Rewarder), I took advantage of the amounts that can be earned on my HP with various activities. Adding about 100 HP per week to my account enabled me to reach my HP goal of 27,500 HP. I'm now on to 35,000 HP as my goal for 2025.
- maintaining my weekly savings chart goals courtesy of my reward earnings;
- increasing liquidity for the several diesel pools;
- delegating hive power and tokens to Communities, individuals, and various curation accounts for passive income in return; and
- leasing Hive power to members to generate liquid rewards used to power up.

It's great that you're getting the diabetes related issues under control, it's not easy!
Thanks so much @lizelle. I appreciate the support. You are correct that it's not easy. It's been a rough journey these past five years since being diagnosed. I've tried numerous drugs, so allergic to. I'm now on a combination cocktail.
The thing is that it not curable, so living with diabetes the rest of your life means a permanent lifestyle change. And that's what is difficult to accomplish, and even harder to maintain. Temptation doesn't rest, and enjoys hounding your relentlessly.
