Having a Difficult Time Staying Out of Harm's Way | OCTOBER 1st HIVE POWER UP DAY

October has arrived. As much as I love summer, I'm happy to be in the midst of Fall. Last month, we traveled in our RV to a gulf coast resort. At the time made our reservations three months ago, we had no way of knowing that a hurricane would begin to brew in the Gulf during our stay.

The closer the time came to depart, we monitored daily the storm's path, so decided with all available news resources at our disposal, we'd make the trip. At the beginning of the week, we packed up and headed out. The impact of the storm was scheduled to arrive the latter part of the week in the location we chose.

We had five days to enjoy a resort on Bolivar Peninsula. The effects of a storm over 400 miles away was to provide a pleasant, breezy, crashing waves on the beach shoreline experience. We had a wonderful time.

Anyway, we decided to leave a day early and returned home safely. That's as close to a hurricane as I have experienced while away from home.

Life moves forward. Now, I'm ready to experience the wonders of Fall. But first, I need to report on my Hive Power Up activity for October's Hive Power Up day.

2024 NEW GOAL: 27,500 Hive Power

For October Hive PUD, I powered up 570.095 liquid. The majority of the earnings I received from posting rewards and swap trades of HBD. The remainder I received as a gift. As always, I hold a small amount back for investment opportunities and supporting other Hive members.

Despite the continued depressed Hive market, my account has grown steadily in Hive Power monthly. The month of September was exceptional, with September being a 1,272.047 HP increase.

I created my small success to daily publishing of quality content, engagement on the platform, and my passive income.

I continue to power up my account in 2024 to achieve (i) greater voting power on content blogs; (ii) additional curation rewards when I vote on other bloggers' posts; and (iii) additional resource credits to perform transactions on the Hive Blockchain.

Encompassing the new features recently implemented, I want to take advantage of the maximum 13% that can be earned on my HP with various activities. Adding about 100 HP per week to my account should enable me to reach my new HP goal of 27,500 HP.

maintaining my weekly savings chart goals courtesy of my reward earnings;
increasing liquidity for the several diesel pools;
delegating additional hive power and tokens to Communities, individuals, and various curation accounts for passive income in return;
leasing Hive power to members to generate liquid rewards used to power up; and,
continue my participation in @combination's weekly drawings for the charity it manages.
