The prompt zero interest in you is an interesting phrase for today's story. It reminds me of a younger version of myself when confronted with an opposing viewpoint. I'd simply point out the not-so-obvious to the other person, highlighting that person's faults. I want to share A ZAPFIC50 story that's told in exactly 50 words. The challenge was created by @felt.buzz.

"I guarantee they'll choose a numbers person. That means zero interest in you." Finalizing his application, Zach flashed a confident grin.

"We'll see. It's worth a shot. Proficiency in numeracy skills isn't the primary qualification the firm evaluates as its foreign liaison," Laura replied demurely.

Perplexed, Zach reluctantly congratulated Laura.
