I've been guilty of this a few times. Not reading instructions fully has caused me headaches. Especially when it comes to figuring out new gadgets. When I saw the prompt for today "set the clock", it reminded me of numerous times I'd forgotten to do just that; whether it was an important appointment the next morning, or cooking on a precision timing. I'd forget how long my dish had been in the oven before I discovered I hadn't set the timer.

So many mishaps have occurred by me not paying close attention to the task at hand. I share this microfiction story related to the prompt that's a ZAPFIC50 told in exactly 50 words. The challenge was created by @felt.buzz.

Peering out, excitement brewed as I waited for delivery.

The installation crew finished.

Something simple to test unexplored territory.

Left with my new cook-top oven, I skimmed operating instructions.

Confident, pushed BAKE; set TEMP; Pre-Heating.

Bumped against stove. Beep!

Placed dish in oven. Set TIMER.

Logged online.

Returned.

COOKED RAW.

He sido culpable de esto unas cuantas veces. No leer las instrucciones en su totalidad me ha causado dolores de cabeza. Sobre todo cuando se trata de descubrir nuevos aparatos. Cuando vi el mensaje de hoy «ajustar el reloj», me acordé de las muchas veces que me había olvidado de hacerlo, ya fuera para una cita importante a la mañana siguiente o para cocinar con precisión. Olvidaba cuánto tiempo llevaba mi plato en el horno antes de descubrir que no había puesto el temporizador.

Tantos percances me han ocurrido por no prestar mucha atención a la tarea que tenía entre manos. Comparto este relato de microficción relacionado con el reto que es un ZAPFIC50 contado en exactamente 50 palabras. El reto fue creado por @felt.buzz.

Me quedé con mi nuevo horno de encimera y hojeé las instrucciones de funcionamiento.

Confiado, pulsé BAKE; ajusté TEMP; precalentamiento.

Choqué contra la estufa. ¡Bip!

Puse el plato en el horno. Puse el TEMPORIZADOR.

Conectado.

Regresó.

COCINADO CRUDO.

haha, maybe you are too excited with the new over, and setting the timer wrong. Should have laenr the instruction well before trying it. But hey, at least lesson learned. : ) !PIZZA

Lesson learned. Excitement took over and I forgot to read certain parts. Never cooked on a oven that comes with an air fryer and other super modern conveniences.

En la mayoría de los hogares hay un cajón lleno de sobre sin destapar con las instrucciones de los aparatos que se adquieren... Muchos nunca aprendemos el buen funcionamiento de los mismos, ahora a leer con cuidado las instrucciones.... gracias por compartirlo
