Lost In a Fragmented World | A Mixed Media Art Project

Oftentimes I feel abandoned by my own body; my own soul. I can't see the way clear or find a path back to myself. I sit in silence, lingering on the thoughts that have pervaded my consciousness. When I think of others who proclaim that they feel lost, I would imagine what that feeling entailed.

Now I understand. It takes so little to provoke that which lies beneath.

I created my mixed media art project using several of my pure fractals I created. Some were designed in Apophysis 7X, the advanced fractal rendering program. Other fractal designs I created in the Nova fractal rendering style. All that was required was that I removed the backgrounds in order to blend them with the other type images.

I included a male and female images, then elements of confusion and chaos. The man holding fire I placed in the middle of the humans to represent their turmoil.

I then utilized Canva to blend the different type images. Below are my steps in which I begin with a blank, white canvas, then added layers of elements, removing backgrounds, resizing, duplicating, filtering, and repositioning items as needed.

Yes, I try to explain a bit about how I'm feeling or my approach to the project. Usually, it's an image I create or locate that just takes on a life of its own and spins a tale as I surround it with other type media.

I'm pleased you liked this one in particular @rafzat and appreciate your awesome comment. I try to become better each time I create a mixed media art project. Sometimes I feel that the intensity of the project is what drives the look and feel of it. To me, this project felt heavy with a somber message of being overwhelmed. That's probably why I chose to include several different elements that portray a heavy vibe of being lost.
