Mixed Media Projects for | #Februairy2025 - daily AI art prompt Nos. 20; 22; 24; 25; 27

Februairy Prompts:

20 - Synesthesia;
22 - Color Blind;
24 - Fan Art;
25 - Microscopic; and
27 - Break The Rules.

Working with the new program, IDEOGRAM, I retrieved some awesome results I wanted to share. I only received a few credits for the entire week as a free members, so I chose carefully which prompt to use them on. With all the prompts from this program, I use the handy tool, Magic Prompt to assist with my one or two-word text description.

Also, my fallback programs are now StarryAI and Night Cafe, in which I surprisingly retrieved excellent interpretations of the prompts.

Of all the prompts I've attempted, this group affected my sense of range, or stepping outside to look inward. I was pleased with my blending and the raw results of each program.

Prompt 20: SYNESTHESIA

Not being familiar with the definition of "Synesthesia", I wanted to research it so that I'd know what to expect from the program. The word means a perceptual phenomenon in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway. Example of this occurrence is when individuals experience colors when listening to music, see shapes when smelling certain scents, or perceive tastes when looking at words. ^Source

My project represents someone whose perception is affected by smell. Simultaneously, she hears colors and music.

I retrieved an awesome image with ethereal qualities from Night Cafe that resembled a fractal. I then utilized Canva, my design program, to blend the images, which includes two females from Night Cafe, together with my pure fractals to create my version of a person experiencing synethesia.

Prompt 22: Color Blind

For the prompt "Color Blind" I chose to highlight the issue of seeing the world through a neutral lens. Individuals, no matter their color, race, or creed are all made equal. That's how I choose to see it. I retrieved the stable diffusion image from IDEOGRAM with a Magic Prompt filter that filled in alternate details to accompany my text description "Color Blind".

Prompt 24: Fan Art

I'm a huge fan of Game of Thrones, and especially Daenerys Targaryen with her dragons. So, for my prompt no. 24, I chose the Mother of Dragons as the subject of my Fan Art. I admire her strength and wisdom. It was interesting to see how she came of age when the series took us back in time in House of the Dragon. Again, I chose IDEOGRAM to simulate Daenerys. With the Magic Prompt, the image turned out nicely.

Prompt 25: Microscopic

In approaching Prompt No. 25, my idea of "Microscopic" was to seek objects that couldn't be viewed or was hidden byh the naked eye. I took another approach and combined several stable diffusion images from StarryAI and IDEOGRAM to represent a microscopic blend. I then combined the resulting images in Canva.

Prompt 27: Break The Rules

I wasn't prepared for the images I received from StarryAI for Prompt No. 27 "Break The Rules". All were amazing, but I only display my favorite one here as I plan to take the others and blend them to create projects.

In this black and white foreground with a blue skyline and aqua waterway, the female images contrast nicely. In the water floats images connected in some manner. But it's the black mountain ridge in the background that blends beautifully into the scene. On second glance, embedded in the side of the mountain rests a figure, but I can tell what type.

I was thoroughly pleased with the result. On third glance, it doesn't seem as though the image breaks any rules for me. But then again, I'm not easily rattled by oddities.
