This week's prompt "inspiration" for the ZAPFIC Monday challenge presented the opportunity to explore the concept of encouraging someone you would otherwise not be inspired to do. This can be true especially if that person has wronged you in some way. Regret is a powerful emotion for one's actions if done in haste. Forgiveness for the wrong someone has done to you can be a powerful inspiration for the person who committed the wrong to change his or her life. I share with you my flash fiction in the format of ZAPFICMonday, a 240-character story created by @felt.buzz.
My story is below:
Never expecting a visit, Jake stared into Mrs. Dobb's eyes. He pressed the telephone to his ear.
She studied his face. Not the lad from ten years ago.
She pressed the Bible inscribed with her slain daughter's name against the pane.
Jake cried.

It seems Jake's was not at home and the Mrs Dobbs is now finding some different attitudes in his life, he is back, he is going to learn nice attitudes as he did so that Mrs Dobbs wouldn't cry anymore because of him.
To be honest, helping those whom we are not inspired to because of their own past actions, can be quite .. tiring but this is still necessary to do because by doing so, we set a good example as Lights to them and possibly change their thought process for the better.

Yes, we must remember that forgiveness is one of the steps to healing. Until that is done, we are caught in a neverending loop. For the person who wronged you, it may lead to a change of attitude. At least one would hope so.

When there is a problem in a person's life and the person remembers that time for the whole life, then the person can never progress in life, so it is better that one should work hard and progress and should not remember that time at all.
