My current mixed media art project for FreeCompliments Community's Talent Tuesdays was this time a simple design titled "Thirst For Self Awareness". With a purple overtone and textured background for a two-toned masked female, this design was fun to create. I love the female's pose in the image as though contemplating the meaning of her life while taking in her surroundings. She's absorbing knowledge in all phases of her existence.

My creation process is below.

For this project, I only required a few images. The primary image was the female.I was fortunate to have discovered an image in brown with a pose that that at first appeared as though the woman was nude. I realized that the fading applied to the image felt as though the person was between two worlds trying to survive.

But it was the mask on her face that convinced me the image was perfect to exude a contemplative self. Below are the images I included in my theme.

I then utilized Canva, my design program, to blend the different type images. Below are my steps in which I successfully applied layers of elements, duplicating images, removing backgrounds, duplicating, resizing, colorizing, and repositioning items. These features and others that include images theme backgrounds, and templates are afforded me in my upgraded Annual Pro Membership Subscription.

• To a blank, white canvas I added a purple textured colored background courtesy of Canva;
• Added the female image; resized and repositioned it to fit diagonally so that an object could lean in and pour water into her mouth from the waterfall. I then adjusted the transparency;
• Added the water drops above the woman's mouth;
• Added my purple colored fractal and resized it around the woman's image;
• Added my white fractal; duplicated it, then placed each into various sized frames and colorized each. I love the shoe frame.
