The #SaturdayBeer just as it should be. Cold and with a view!

It's been a long time since I had a delicious, cold beer and enjoyed it with the company of an amazing view!

When I saw that view, when I sipped the first sip of that beer, when I saw these amazing dishes coming our way .. I knew I had to post about it!

My day was already very difficult. I was out of the office for a long time for some chorus and when I came back I had to do lots of office work.

Someone had an awesome idea. "Why don't we go out for dinner?"
I thought "Oh, NO!!!"
But it was impossible to say no.

So, off we went. My eyes red and closing because I wanted to sleep.

And suddenly.

The view ...!!!

In case you do not recognize this, this is Hersonissos lights by night!

And palm trees around.

We walked the beach road, not sure where we would have our meal.
I did not really care. I wanted to finish quickly and go back home.

But then we passed by this place!

Cretan Creative Cuisine.
I knew this place well. I had been here before.

I liked the environment, the views, I knew the people and was sure that we would be treated well.

This is a home that was restored to be a restaurant. It is right opposite to the Hersonissos light house and next to Agia Paraskeyi

The table was perfectly decorated. Fresh greens were accompanying us and I always feel good vibes with greenery around me.

I could not help staring at the lights and to the beautiful reflections of the water.

I almost did not want food to come, to ruin this beautiful table deco!

After playing with my mobile and some shots, we ordered from the menu and asked for the beer options. The waiter advised Eza (Έζα) beer, it is produced in Greece and some home made lemonade with watermelon taste.

They first served the home made lemonade with watermelon. Even thought I did not taste it - it looked amazing! And then..

Came the BEER! Detlev, see this?

The Eza I tasted is a Greek premium Pilsener with a "full body, an aroma of citrus fruits and delicate bitterness, patiently fermented, at the right time. Delicious, easy to drink, made with passion and culture."

It is well paired with food rich in taste.

This is what we ordered!

Freshly fried calamari (I assure you they were delicious, the cat that was next to us, confirmed it!)

The salad served tasted amazing! It was surrounded by pieces of 'sfakiani - Cretan pie' and inside was beetroot, greens and rocket, walnuts, cracked sour-cretan-cheese and petimezi (grape molasses)

Paired with 'dolmadakia' (stuffed vine leaves & zucchini flowers)

After I had drunk almost all of my beer I noticed, "Η Μπύρα όπως πρέπει να είναι"
Meaning "The beer, as it should be"

And I confirm that it was one of the best ones I have tried.

Here we see one of the main dishes, which was orzo with shrimps, cherry tomatoes, fresh bell peppers and yogurt sauce. Delightful!

Worth another close up.

Another delicious dish was linguini with sea food (mussels, shrimps and calamari). Also delicious.

In Crete, it is usually not necessary to order a desert - almost all the restaurants will bring it to you free of charge. It can be something sweet and small or fruit, and sometimes they bring to you 'Tsikoudia' - a Cretan fire-alchohol drink.

This time they brought to us a delicious 'cheesecake' with a twist!

I was too full to try it out, but the rest agreed that it was super yummy!
