Todo comenzó en los años 60. En el pueblo de La Paz todos sus habitantes vivían de sembrar y cosechar café. Eran familias muy unidas. Los abuelos de la comarca eran los que dictaban las leyes y, entre todos, seleccionaban las más convenientes para la comunidad. Así transcurría su existencia; sin sobresaltos, ni envidias, ni problemas. En fin, un pueblo donde todos manifestaban felicidad en sus semblantes. Eso era lo que siempre transmitían a los que los visitaban.

Un día las energías se intensificaron. Un huracán arrasó con parte de las plantaciones. En la noche, oscura y silenciosa, unas luces parpadearon en el cielo. Nadie se dio cuenta, excepto Pedrito que miraba por la ventana de su habitación. Sintió curiosidad y medio al mismo tiempo. Aun así, decidió salir de la casa y averiguar. El niño quedó petrificado. Unos seres de un metro de estatura y ojos de fuego lo miraron. Llevaban algo en sus manos que él no logró identificar. Pedrito quedó inmóvil. Al día siguiente lo hallaron muerto. Todo el pueblo lloraba. Le dieron cristiana sepultura. Al poco tiempo su cuerpo también desapareció. En su lugar apareció un extraño fósil.

Nadie sabía que sucedía. Todos decidieron investigar. Pero, a todos les sucedía lo mismo. Se morían sin causa aparente. Hasta que falleció el último habitante. La prensa se hizo eco de tan espeluznante suceso. No había explicación. Solo atinaron a decir que les cayó una maldición: la maldición de la calavera fósil.
Transcurrió el tiempo. Nadie quería ir al pueblo ni siquiera por curiosidad hasta que, un día, un equipo de jóvenes estudiantes de Paleontología, decidió que investigarían el caso junto con la policía. Eso formaría parte de su tesis de grado.

La única evidencia era un solo cráneo de un posible animal. ¿Pero quien lo depositó en el pueblo? Comenzaron a buscar huellas, rastros, cualquier evidencia que lograse con la captura de los criminales…

Después de una ardua labor se reunieron todos para dilucidar sus hallazgos. La policía encontró una sustancia: la leptina que se produce mientras dormimos y por eso no nos da hambre. Además, consiguió la neurotoxina:tetrodotoxina, a la cual no se le conoce antídoto. Sin embargo, los estudiantes, fueron más allá. Consiguieron evidencias, de supuestas naves extraterrestres, que pudiesen alojar otra luz en la investigación. Nadie les creía hasta que le mostraron una huella. Esa misma huella estaba en la parte de adentro de la calavera.

Con toda esta información la policía lleva el caso a la vidente Antarterides; la cual siempre colabora en casos difíciles. Ella pide tener la calavera en sus manos para terminar de resolver el misterio. Así se hizo. Al concluir el análisis Anterterides dijo categóricamente:

-Extraterrestres les suministraron a sus víctimas una combinación de leptina y tetrodotoxina para matarlos. Posteriormente se llevaron los cadáveres para sus estudios en el Planeta Voltarenquistis.

The grandparents of the region were the ones who dictated the laws and, among all of them, they selected the most convenient for the community. This was the way their existence went by; without any shocks, or envy, or problems. In short, a town where everyone showed happiness in their countenances. That was what they always transmitted to those who visited them.

One day the energies intensified. A hurricane devastated part of the plantations. In the dark and silent night, lights flickered in the sky. No one noticed, except Pedrito, who was looking out of his bedroom window. He was curious and half curious at the same time. Still, he decided to leave the house and find out. The boy was petrified. Some three-foot tall beings with fiery eyes looked at him. They were holding something in their hands that he could not identify. Pedrito remained motionless. The next day he was found dead. The whole town wept. They gave him a Christian burial. Soon after, his body also disappeared. In his place appeared a strange fossil.

No one knew what was going on. They all decided to investigate. But, the same thing happened to all of them. They were dying for no apparent reason. Until the last inhabitant died. The press echoed such a horrifying event. There was no explanation. They only managed to say that a curse had befallen them: the curse of the fossil skull.
Time went by. Nobody wanted to go to the town, not even out of curiosity, until one day a team of young paleontology students decided to investigate the case together with the police. That would be part of their graduate thesis.

The only evidence was a single skull of a possible animal, but who deposited it in the village? They began to look for footprints, traces, any evidence that could lead to the capture of the criminals...

After an arduous work they all gathered to elucidate their findings. The police found a substance: leptin, which is produced while we sleep and that is why we are not hungry. In addition, they found the neurotoxin tetrodotoxin, for which there is no known antidote. The students, however, went further. They obtained evidence of supposed extraterrestrial spacecraft, which could house another light in the research. No one believed them until they were shown a footprint. That same print was on the inside of the skull.

With all this information the police take the case to the psychic Antarterides; who always collaborates in difficult cases. She asks to have the skull in her hands to finish solving the mystery. This was done. At the conclusion of the analysis Anterterterides said categorically:

-Extraterrestrials supplied their victims with a combination of leptin and tetrodotoxin to kill them. Later they took the corpses for their studies on Planet Voltarenquistis.
