Bendecido Lunes de agujas mis queridos y apreciados compañeros de comunidad. finalmente ha llegado el día del gran evento esperado por todos. El día en que se cierra el concurso favorito de la comunidad: el Needlework Your Barbie contest. Ha sido maravilloso leer las entradas ya publicadas, es como estar en una pasarela de diseñadores famosos. Lo que más me gusta es conocer la historia que hay detrás de cada diseño.

Blessed Needle Monday my dear and appreciated community partners. finally the day of the great event awaited by all has arrived. The day when the community's favorite contest closes: the Needlework Your Barbie contest. It has been wonderful to read the entries already published, it's like being on a catwalk of famous designers. What I like the most is to know the story behind each design.

Estoy muy emocionada y feliz de haber podido terminar a tiempo mi proyecto y presentarlo ante ustedes. El día sábado les compartí una publicación donde les mostré los trajes que elaboré para Kalanny en las tres ediciones anteriores del concurso, también les comenté que tendría solo dos días para elaborar el diseño y llevar a cabo el proceso creativo.

Realmente fue un verdadero reto, porque no tenía nada avanzado, además tuve algunas situaciones familiares que ameritaban de mi tiempo y mi atención. No obstante, logré concentrarme y hacer un proyecto lo bastante aceptable para que Kalanny luciera hermosa en este gran evento.

I am very excited and happy to have been able to finish my project on time and present it to you. On Saturday I shared with you a post where I showed you the costumes I made for Kalanny in the three previous editions of the contest, I also told you that I had only two days to develop the design and carry out the creative process.

It was a real challenge, because I had nothing advanced, plus I had some family situations that required my time and attention. However, I managed to concentrate and make a project acceptable enough for Kalanny to look beautiful in this great event.

El primer paso del proyecto fue revisar el material que tenía disponible para iniciar mi labor, ya que no había tiempo para salir a comprar nada. Al revisar mi cajas de hilos, encontré este color verde vibrante y de inmediato recordé un vestido que mi mamá y yo confeccionamos para mi hija cuando fue reina de primavera en su colegio. En ese momento supe que quería hacer algo parecido ya que me emocioné mucho con estos lindos recuerdos. Así que sin más inicié mi labor de tejido.

The first step of the project was to review the material I had available to start my work, since there was no time to go out and buy anything. Going through my yarn boxes, I found this vibrant green color and immediately remembered a dress my mom and I made for my daughter when she was spring queen at her school. At that moment I knew I wanted to make something similar since I got so excited about these cute memories. So without further ado I started my knitting.

El diseño del vestido tiene un corpiño muy ajustado al cuerpo para resaltar la figura de Kalanny. La falda consta de tres capas con muchos volantes para darle mucho volumen. El detalle floral lo hice con la ayuda de unas pequeñas flores tipo lentejuelas las cuales coloqué proporcionalmente por todo el vestido. Es un diseño sencillo y muy primaveral que espero sea del agrado de todos ustedes. Fue muy relajante volver a tejer y hacerle un nuevo atuendo a mi muñeca a pesar de la premura. Espero que todos tengan la oportunidad de disfrutar del concurso y deleitar la mirada con las hermosas creaciones que nos presentan nuestros compañeros needleworkers.

The dress design has a tight-fitting bodice to highlight Kalanny's figure. The skirt consists of three layers with lots of ruffles to give it a lot of volume. The floral detail was made with the help of small sequined flowers which I placed proportionally all over the dress. It is a simple and very spring-like design that I hope you all like. It was very relaxing to knit again and make a new outfit for my doll in spite of the rush. I hope you all have the opportunity to enjoy the contest and delight your eyes with the beautiful creations presented by our fellow needleworkers.

Hola amiga te felicito por lograr este hermoso reto con tanto amor y dedicación a pesar de todos los pendientes que atender pudiste llegar a la meta de hacer este vestido tan precioso verde vibrante, cuando vi las flores del vestido a simple vista pensé que eran lentejuelas luego cuando leí tu post y observe mejor las flores supe que se trataba de flores estilo lentejuelas, fue una total sorpresa, no conocía estas flores y se ven tal cual unas lentejuelas.

Tuviste la mejor inspiración. Para que todo te saliera tan perfecto, las fotografías impecables y la Barbie radiante. Gracias por compartir.❤️🤗

Si mal no recuerdo, creo que Kalanny no participó el año pasado porque estabas de jurado, pero este año vino con todas.
Este vestido me parece encantador y que el vestido de tu hija haya sido fuente de inspiración, lo hace especial.

Hola @karen.art, en realidad el año pasado Kalanny estuvo presente en el concurso con un traje amarillo, pero, al igual que en esta oportunidad, su participación no es una entrada valida, ya que estaré como jurado.

Amiga, un vestido precioso, acorde a tu lindo Barbie, tiene un guarda ropa genial.

Todas la participaciones eetan muy lindas.

Yo pensaba que se acaba el concurso al 8 pm, según la UTC aquí en Venezuela.

Y yo me quedé con el material en la mesa, ya que pensaba no me daba tiempo.

Nos quedamos sin luz, no me acordaba que el concurso terminab hoy.

Pero me gustó mucho por lo menos apoyar las entradas bellas que han hecho.
