Through the green of rice paddies, a humble village braced for the Rice Festival all along. When the dusk beckoned, people began gathering for they were waiting with anxiety. All of a sudden the drums pounded in sign of ceremony beginning. The village elders made a ceremony where the land was blessed through a chant invoking the ancestors to take care of the fields and grant a good harvest. Next, the clouds which were holding the rice grains were broken all of a sudden and the rice grains were falling down like powdery confetti. The laughter carried further as the kids danced through the rice showers, collecting the grains in their eager palms. It was a moment of ecstasy and favor, thanking and enjoying nature's creation and the fellowship of the community based on a homely product.
