During his arrival to the freshman year Jake brought both his books and worries to the college campus. The combination of big buildings and many quick-moving students created a sensation of smallness within him. During his initial class session Jake struggled to introduce himself and students in the audience lightly laughed at his words. A compassionate voice reached out to assure him that everyone was in the same initial position. It was Emma, another freshman. The two students walked together during lunchtime while exchanging information about their home places. The weight Jake felt upon starting his day was gone when the day ended. Fortunately college life lost its threatening aspect because he found a friend. The beginner year marked its start but future thrills kept coming.
