We Went To A Mini Con
I didn't even know these mini cons existed until recently when I bought some Star Wars stuff off someone online.
We got talking about collecting, and sure enough he mentioned that there was one coming up today on the bank holiday so we all got together and went.
Something I have wanted to buy for a while is a Snow speeder, and I finally have it.
I have one from when I was a kid, but it's destroyed. It was missing pieces back then, but now it's really messed up, to the point that replacing all of it would be a waste of money.
My best bet with some of my old collection would be selling it in bulk for someone to potentially take apart and sell as separate pieces, or I could maybe use some of the busted up pieces for a diorama.
I got this model set too.
I absolutely love model vehicles, especially Star Wars ones and it has been so long since I've build one so I had to pick this up.
There were so many sellers, and stalls, and all of the prices were reasonable compared to the larger conventions, so I think these mini ones are definitely for buyers, while the larger ones are for the events and guests.
Aimee bought this cool LOTR frame.
The person who sold this had a bunch of other ones they had made and to be honest, collecting a few for a nice display would be great.
Sadly, she didn't get her details, but I'm sure we'll see her again at upcoming sales.
This guys costume was amazing.
Kaleb cried his eyes out when he saw him, and that continued for almost the whole time we were there. He really didn't like any of the costumes and was a bit over-whelmed by it all.
After a while he settled down, but then a storm trooper would walk past and he'd roar again.
Within the next year or so he should grow out of the fear of anything that's different, but for now he just doesn't really understand and is still learning.
We did want to bring him to the big comic con coming up soon, but now we're not sure if we should or not.
It was a really good day none-the-less, but we only spent about 2 hours going around.
