6 MONTHS GONE
It's six months down the line and hive learners have made me reflect on my life in the last six months. This year I've tried as much as possible to be intentional about my actions and my decisions. These decisions and intentionality have put me on my toes for the most parts of the year, but it has also opened me up to opportunities I never saw coming. This year I started with growing my hive account as a primary project, which I would say isn't doing that bad, however, I have been distracted offline in recent months and have not put in the efforts I desired to put in at the beginning of the year.
Don't mind me if I talk a great deal about the things I have not done, like I said my decisions have put me on my toes making me see almost everything as a project and that includes fun. Yes I have had to plan for everything, as a matter of fact there was a time this year I planned on taking my sister out to get shawarma, although only my sister got to enjoy that outing experience, I was glad I ticked it out from my to-do list. The thing was I hadn't bought shawarma before that day, I'm just a pizza person, but my sister had been hyping this shawarma thing back to back plus pizza is among the long list of things she doesn't like.
I finally got two shawarma and ended up giving her mine which of course she gladly accepted. It was just tasting cream in my mouth making me want to throw up at a point so I gave up even after trying my very best to eat my money. I also planned on living in the city of Port Harcourt for a while and breathing any other air that isn't Port Harcourt, and I did that last week which happened to be one of my best experiences this year. I went to Bayelsa to see my special someone, and it was as refreshing as I had imagined it to be, apart from the times I planned on buying market square bread. That journey is so far my best experience as it made me connect with some of my friends in the city of Bayelsa.
Okay I did something silly to ensure I go for that journey knowing how tight my work schedule is. I took permission from work to attend my convocation ceremony which was scheduled to hold last week Saturday, so I first ensured that I wouldn't go to work on Friday by stating the convocation was on a Friday, and when I was given permission, I wasted no time going to Bayelsa. I had initially planned on going to Lagos or Abuja since a lot of my friends are there, but the transportation due to inflation made me settle for Bayelsa. Apart from these few moments, it's been work work and work for me, but for this second half of the year, I will go out more having had a taste of how refreshing it can be.
