ABOUT YESTERDAY

Yesterday being Sunday 10th of March 2024 turned out to be one of the few exciting days I've had in 2024, not because anything significant happened, but because I felt happy throughout the day. I think one of the reasons for my joy was because I had been sick and was so down that I had to take a sick leave from work. I wouldn't want to go into details about my health, maybe some other time. Back to what happened yesterday. I was feeling all over the moon and very energetic in the morning, I had wanted to take my meds before going to church but my sister insisted I take it after a proper meal after church service.

I went to church with my sister and a friend of mine who had come to spend the weekend with us from another state, we intended to attend just one out of the three services in church, which was unlike me (I would normally attend three services if they were not around). But we ended up attending two services because I had an urgent skit to shoot after the second service. They waited until the third service for me to shoot my skit video and I had to do a lot of begging and compensation afterwards. I had to give them money for lunch, having made them wait for so long knowing we would still have to cook when we got home.

We went to church around 10:00 am and got back at about 3:57 PM. Knowing we were all tired and hungry, the ladies decided to quickly make something while I charged up our devices at a friend's place since there was light there. But then I thought they would be done with whatever they were cooking soon enough and I decided to take my meds before going to charge up the devices. As I got there to charge, I remembered that I needed to get a new burner for my gas cooker, so I immediately rushed back home and decided to fill the gas as the ladies were still setting up to cook.

By the time I returned from the gas station, I was feeling fuzzy and dizzy. At a point, I felt like collapsing and my sister being my sister was just emphasizing how it was my fault that I took the meds without eating. I managed to go back to my friend's house and lay down till they were done cooking and brought food for us, but at that point, my entire body system was as though it was going to shut down, I'm just glad it didn't 😂. After I consumed a bowl of spaghetti and plantain and also ate my sister's own which I traded with her for some hours to use my phone, I was okay and decided to do a lot of catching up with my visitor. We talked from past 6:00 a.m. until about 9:00 pm before the ladies decided to prepare food again. However, no one ate the food they prepared since we were all full from the one we ate. Normally I never get satisfied with spaghetti, but I don't know what they put inside the one I ate yesterday.
