ALWAYS TO HAVE, NEVER TO USE

I have about 95 apps on my phone, But I use only 8 very frequently. The 8 would include google chrome, Whatsapp, Whatsapp Business, hive keychain app, My digital wallet app (OPAY) My call app and my calculator. These are like my first 8 most used apps, and in the second 8 I have My music app, My google Authentication app, Gallery, Binace, Buybit, Meta Business (Facebook and instagram) meta ads, And My soccer news app. I use these apps at least 10 times a week, And then there are my third 8 apps which I use at least 3 times a week. I can’t begin to mention them in this post because there are more than 30 in that category so I shouldn’t even refer to them as third 8. There was a time I would take a lot of time scrolling through my phone to delete unnecessary apps, especially because of the space they were occupying in my phone. It was necessary I did it then but now I find myself having more apps than I can use. And if I should be honest, it isn’t my fault at all.

In computer studies it is understood that there are two major types of software which would include the system and application softwares. In our devices today, we can liken some of the apps on our phones as System softwares because the are the manufacturers applications. The applications we download via Play Store or Apple Store are what we can refer to as Application software. Looking at how I use the apps on my phone, I can say there are apps I have just never used in my life, and even though I wish to delete them, I can not do that because they are the manufacturer's applications. If it were up to me, these apps would never be in my phone but then there is nothing I can do about it.

One of the apps in this category is the carlcare app. A lot of Android phones have this app and I’m sure a lot of people do not even know the importance of the app talkless how to use it. Even though I know the importance of this app, I will prefer to call my friends who fix phones than to use the app. The app gives you access to contacting your phone’s service center to get it fixed. It also enables you to check the warranty period of your phone and if your phone is within its warranty period, your service center can fix whatever fault it has for free. But for me who has always purchased fairly used phones, there is no point calling when I can get my phone fixed through the help of my technician friends.

Another app that is useless in my phone is the palm store app. I don’t see any reason to have two stores on my phone. Maybe Because I have not taken a minute to look at it because I did so many years ago with my first phone when the palm store interface was nothing to write home about. I prefer play store anytime any day, but the manufacturer just wants the app on the android devices which unlike the carlcare app, I see no need for. If it were up to me let that palm store go into extinction because all it does is sit and occupy space. I’ve never used it, and almost certainly I will never use it. For the remaining 77 apps, maybe I would check through them today and reduce them to 72

I am having the same issue, a lot of non used apps consuming resources but that I don't want to delete because I guess I could need them 😆

Two stores? Well, it looks like they want to try to undermine the monopoly, doesn't it? Well, it makes sense what you say, if the PlayStore is enough, we don't need more. Regards @kilvnrex
