AN IDEA OF FULFILLMENT
I've got a lot of things planned for the year, I don't like to see them as new year resolutions even though they are. These are things I've waited patiently to do, and now I have an opportunity to do them. Well I'm not here to talk about the things I have planned out to do, instead I will be highlighting one thing I'm sure will happen this year. I'm really looking forward to it, I do not know when exactly it will happen, because it is dependent on my ability. I've started the part already and it's impossible to go back on it so yes it's definitely happening. But just by the way, it feels good and at the same time feels weird that my life would not be determined by school or my country this year. I'm not certain about going for my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) anytime in the middle of the year because of my job, maybe in the latter part of the year I would start the process but for now, I'm not in a hurry.
Back to business, last year I decided to embark on a personal quest to do something fulfilling. This year, I was thinking about something that would have an impact on people generally, so I decided to start by helping young adults find their purpose. I don't know if there's a name for it, but it's something I would be putting effort into this year. In my last post I talked about how I would be making my blog worth learning from, and it's majorly because of these people. I have discovered that there are a lot of Youths and young adults just living not knowing what they want out of life. I think it's one of the major causes of poverty in our country today as these people would either become fraudsters or join the majority of people wasting their lives away in gambling trying to live life as it comes.
I've started this quest already with two young adults (a boy and a girl) and so far I've made great progress. I might even be onboarding some of them here as we move. This isn't an easy quest as it requires a lot of training people mentally and skillfully. But one thing is certain this year, and it is that by the end of the year there would be someone I would be able to beat my chest and say that I impacted their lives positively because they would have had skills and purpose for the next year. A lot of young people do not know anything about purpose or setting goals and all. This is mainly because of their upbringing, some have been given so much privileges from well to do parents who never taught them anything about getting something out of life, while others come from society that just makes them work for money without purpose and dreams. So even if they do make money, they don't know what to do with it.
Growing up, I have been in both of these situations, and when life dawned on me, It wasn't easy adapting. I have a lot of friends like that too who ended up becoming Internet fraudsters seeing it as the only means of escape. A lot of people don't really pay attention to these things but it eats up our society every day and if I can in some way break through to at least one person this year, it will be a big win for me. Right now there's no going back as the two I have on my radar are already looking forward to changing their lives this year, hopefully we can all change our lives at the end of the year.

Even as adults, some people don’t still know their purpose or what they want in life. I like to believe It’s the African upbringing. Comparing African kids to those of the diaspora you can see the difference. They are brought up in a way that they know what they want from the word go but I’m Africa the story is different. They will say the child will spoil if you let them explore and all of that.
It’s a good step you have taken and I commend you for that. Keep up the good work.
