I FEEL IN LOVE AND ALMOST DIED

If you follow up with my posts You will notice I've written about two important moments in my life, moments that will stay with me for life. One of those stories is about my ex, the other is about an accident I had. What I never mentioned is that both events are very related and happen in a very funny way. My friend @keecee who witnessed the whole thing still laughs at me to date about how I had the accident, and according to him, I fell in love 😂. So without further ado, I will be talking about how my life flashed before my very eyes.

I've come to understand that death happens once, oftentimes we don't see it coming. One moment a person is jumping up and down, and the next moment, they encounter something that snatches the life out of them. This was me around 7:00 PM and decided to go on an unplanned walk with this girl I just started talking to. I noticed she was getting into me, and the feelings were mutual so I decided to flow with it. Unfortunately, that flow almost ended my life. We were both at @keecee house when she decided she wanted to eat and I suggested she take the Nutella I had in my own house out of love 😂. We decided to go get it when we approached the main road and were about to cross.

One minute I was crossing, the next second I was falling and people were shouting. I didn't notice that they recently uncovered one of the underground holes on the main road, and I was too in love to look at where I was going. For those few seconds I was falling, I felt life living me, and fear gripping me at the same time, but my reflexes immediately took my hands to the side of the hole where I hung until people came to put me up. I seemed okay after I got up, but after a minute or two I couldn't feel my legs again. Those around decided to carry me to the nearby pharmacy where there was light and I discovered I was bleeding profusely from my leg.

It was at that moment I knew God just saved me from falling fully into the hole because there were standing rods there, one of which had pierced my leg. Although I was wounded in other parts of my body, the fatality was more on my leg which later took nearly three months to heal. That incident gave me a phobia for pits and gutters, and sometimes I remember the incident and I'm unable to move that particular leg for some time. I know it's a psychological effect, but the truth is I can't help it as the trauma still stays with me. It's so much that kicking a ball with my right leg has become difficult, although I'm gradually learning to do so, whenever I feel that injury spot I remember the incident with a need to protect my leg. It's been two years now, but the memory still lives on.
