IT'S PAYBACK TIME

Okay, I didn't think I would write about this, but considering that I was served an evening breakfast today in the noxian City Discord by @abenad I thought okay it’s high time I planned my perfect revenge 😂. Before I start, I would like to note that everything I'm going to write here is purely fictional, and if I ever were to be in such a scenario, the possibility of me doing it is almost zero. So without further ado, let me jump right into it; Here's the backstory before the wedding…

We started as friends, I didn't have much, but I did everything both within and beyond my power to make her happy, there were times I had sleepless nights thinking about how I would pay her school fees and mine as well, we both graduated, but she never stopped being my priority. All I wanted to do was make her happy. A few months after I got a good job I decided it was high time she became part of my life for good. Making her the happiest woman on earth was all I ever wanted and she knew It. She accepted my proposal and we started planning a wedding. I wasn't really concerned about how big or small The wedding was, all I cared about was giving her the wedding she had always dreamed of.

Turned out she wanted an elaborate wedding. As long as she wanted it, I would go for it no matter the cost, and I did. The wedding day came, and I woke up the happiest man alive. When I called her she seemed a little off but she said she was fine and just stressed out from the whole preparation. I told her our time had finally come, and she wouldn't need to be stressed again. We finished talking after about 30 minutes and I started preparing for the wedding. I was done in 30 minutes, and my best man was already waiting for me, he had been hurrying me up all the while I was on the phone and now we had just 20 minutes to get to the church.

Thankfully there was no traffic so it was only a 10-minute drive. When we arrived there were a lot of people already waiting at the church and my bride's car was already in the church because I'm usually the latecomer. The pastor started the wedding ceremony by asking me to step forward, while everyone rose for the bride to march in. The pianists began to play, but we weren't seeing the bride. Something seemed to be wrong outside, so my best man decided to go take a look. After some minutes of not getting any news from him, I decided I would go check things out for myself seeing that nobody was coming back inside.

I got outside to see the chief bride's maid panicking as she looked like she was trying to make calls. Everyone outside was trying to make calls, and this was when my heart started pounding fast, sending shockwaves through my spine. The more I asked what was going on, the more I was told to calm down until the Bride's mother started saying; Where's my daughter, where's my daughter? I ran to her car to see she wasn't there, and that was when I screamed “Can someone tell me what the hell is going on here?” It was then my best man explained that she said she wanted to use the restroom some minutes ago, and now she's nowhere to be found.

Out of confusion, I opened the boot of her car to see if it was all a joke and checked the backseat knowing full well it was empty. That's when I saw a written note, it was her handwriting, I would know it even if my eyes were closed, it said; I'm so sorry Kelvin, I tried to love you, I really did, but not just enough to marry you. You deserve someone who would love you and not me, I'm in love with another, and I'm pregnant for him, I'm sorry you had to find out this way, but you are just too good for me to let you continue suffering in the dark, goodbye Kelvin. As I held the letter and read those words, my hands began to shiver, it was like a nightmare at the time. I wished I was sleeping. My legs could no longer carry me, so I thought I would sit on the floor for a little while. I started sweating profusely as I just stared at the letter no longer seeing the words.

The next thing I was was darkness, and when the light came back on, I was at the hospital, I had suffered a shock and passed out. I asked my best man if it was a bad dream I had, but he confirmed it was all real. I tried to cry, but I couldn't, we had been together for 5 years, and I had not even touched her, because the love I had for her made me respect her. Now she's gone, pregnant with another man. Immediately reality dawned on me that It was all real, I got up from the hospital bed and asked to be discharged. Everyone was thinking I was going to commit suicide, but I assured them that I was okay. The next day I resumed work and went back to my other activities, but this time I was doing more.

I invested in myself more than I used to, sleeping was hard, so I used the opportunity to invest in myself. 2 years later I became 10 times the guy I used to be financially. Then I discovered her business was having issues through a friend. She needed investors, or else she would run out of business. So I invested anonymously with the help of the bank, and now I own the business we both invested in to grow while she manages it. And just when she thinks her problem is over, I walk into the company and ask her to resign with immediate effect. I only saved the company because I couldn't watch what I suffered to build die, but now I'm taking over and she should leave.
